I passed by rathkeale one Xmas day en route to Kerry, short of petrol, I queued up with a load of UK registered cars at what looked like an ad hoc filling station and got unbelievable value filling up....if ur passing like... didn't seem to apply VAT nor excise...
A lot of the customer base were pissed tho, so be careful....
Not so long ago the permanent residents of rathkeale were wanting them to stay and settle permanently in thr village. I assume that view has changed.
The Judges and the free legal aid solicitors have a lot to answer for allowing these scumm bags destroy so many towns and villages all over ireland
Didn’t another branch of this crowd create havoc in Newcastle West at halloween and yet another branch of them caused mayhem in Askeaton the same night .
County Limerick has a huge law and order issue with closed garda stations all over the place allowing mayhem
Wait till all the annual weddings kick off, they’ll be fighting up the aisles. I feel sorry for the ordinary residents of Rathkeale.
I don't know the detail of any connection to the other incidents but there is definitely an ongoing problem in that general area.
As I said above we need to escalate our response.
I would favour increased sentences for repeat offenders.
Proper representation in court for defendants is part of the bedrock of our legal system and I don't see any change to that.
I think we could look more closely at the means of those seeking legal aid but it is difficult when you are dealing with professional criminality where the money is by definition hidden.
Can they not just fence them in and leave them have a good go at it. If there’s one or two left standing then the ARU could finish them off.
The use of a machete is a common party trick.
Hush now, don't you know that social partnership and inclusively means you can't call out criminal behaviour among any one group, even if its their defining trait.
The Party of Law and Order are quite happy to enforce it, in Howth and Malahide and Dalkey and Castleknock and Rathgar and Douglas and Kinsale and Salthill and Barna and Castletroy.
Places like Rathkeale and Longford and Tipp town can go spit. And its all our fault for letting it slide.
Well, actually, that isn't true. Huge level of white collar crime and sharp practice among the wealthy in those districts that is left uninvestigated plus a blind eye is turned as regards cocaine and other illegal drug taking in the leafy suburbs. Not that that remotely justifies the scenes in Rathkeale.
