Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.

I agree, 1st album had some excellent tracks, i see them as quite different to the Fontaines actually. I like both, and have booked in for one of the outstore gigs, and the Vicar street gig as well in late February.
Its also nice & refreshing to see bands do something different, like these low key gigs.

That time I saw them in Fairview, whatever that clown of a so called singers name is started walking across the front barrier, sat down smoking rollies and engaging the populace in conversation while the band were attempting a solo. Nick Cave you are not son. As I said histrionics.
I also saw them behaving in a fairly obnoxious fashion on the street in Dingle at Other Voices a few years back.
They did the pantomime sit down for smokes shtick at ATN too but as I say, in Vicar Street, there was no bullshit, just the music. If they stick to that, they definitely have something.

So not a second date at the National Stadium then. Oh well, guess i won't be going to see them on this tour after all. A Paddy's Day gig is of no appeal and certainly not when i have The Comet Is Coming and Dean Wareham the following two nights.

2022 definitely unprecedented due too covid the past few years with some tours possibly planning too be well done and dusted by the time they actually took place
