I'd say Messi was likely tipped off before the award that he'll have to wear that stupid negligee lifting the trophy, so took the opportunity to kiss the trophy beforehand to get the iconic photo.

If North Korea diverted some of their missile money towards a push to host we could see it again, they might even have a chance of winning it!
