You can see the incident in this clip. He pulls him by the arm and kind of holds on to him too long. It's completely unacceptable.
Yeah.. That's totally unacceptable and you'd assume that he wasn't exactly being polite in whatever he was saying at the time either.
I would expect him to get a hefty ban.

Reading the tweet thread , it seems they downgraded the offence from "physical abuse" to "Use of threatening words/actions towards a referee".

You'd be surprised. They studied this after England Euro final defeat and the vast majority of abuse came from accounts with relatively easily identifiable information.
Wayne Barnes confirmed he notified the police of two particular accounts.
Once they get involved "anonymous" becomes a lot less safe

I recall a few weeks ago some GAA referees went on strike due to incidents in club matches, nothing to stop the rugby refs following in the footsteps until proper bans are put in place, I'd say they'd get a lot of support
Borthwick confirmed as Eddie Jones' successor on a 5-year deal.
He's bringing Kevin Sinfield (another great ex-RL player and a current Leicester coach) along with him as Defensive Coach.
Richard Wigglesworth (who had been a player-coach this season) takes over as Interim Head Coach at Leicester, retiring from playing in doing so.
More changes to Borthwick's England coaching ticket expected to be announced over the coming weeks.
Interesting point recently by Alex Payne on his podcast that the cost of letting Eddie go, likely his coaches, the cost to compensate Leicester etc is likely into 4 / 6 million for the RFU.
The prize money for making a rugby world cup and making a semi final would fall far short of that. The argument being that the amount lost could be invested in parts of the game that needed it - and throw the dice on Eddie turning it around rather than handing a hill to climb to Borthwick.
I can't remember a coach being fired with such mixed reactions. Supporters certainly not uniform anywhere near to the degree Welsh fans are and current / former players not in unison either. It's been a fascinating debacle and as always in support yet to be contextualised by future performance.
Speaking of Wales though - my god they couldn't get rid of Pivac quickly enough. Feel quite sorry for him, definitely had to go but he was handed a ship taking on serious water. The appointment of Gatland is one I can understand for emotional reasons but not really for logical ones - going to be a BRILLIANT six nations.
Alex Payne and the guys on his podcast have been pretty outspoken in their objections to Jones getting the boot. They even gave Jones’ PR guy basically a pulpit to preach from after it happened. I’d expected a little more from Payne in terms of just a balanced perspective but that hasn’t been evident on this one from what I’ve seen.
