Considering they claim they only lost 15,000 , they exceeded that barely a month into ukraine,they have exceeded their losses from Afghanistan,the two Chechens wars and various other internal conflicts and then add the other 10,000 + Russians killed in Ukraine over the last 9 years ,
And people still believe Russia are going to make a comeback and take Kiev and the other occupied territories permanently

The tweet I quoted is backed up by a Ukrainian source. Russians are inside a small part of the city itself proper. I do not believe this has been the case until now.
I was wondering about this bunch. I remember they flew under a modifed Russian flag (Same as regular flag, swapping out the bottom red stripe for white). Not sure they're enough to seriously challange Putin's lot yet...but could certainly provide a serious headache to any attempt to secure Russian territory, especially if we're talking about Russians who are alligned with Ukraine.

Yes, and its one thing to survive the Russian / Ukrainian winter in the comfort of your own home, amongst family and friends in your Village, Town or City. Can be very comfortable in fact. Hot water, hot food, warm house etc. Surrounded by Family and friends. It's quite another to try to survive in front lines in makeshift shelters, with shortages of food, water and medicines, suitable winter clothing etc. All of which applies more the Russians than the Ukrainians. Plus Ukrainians get regularly rotated, good medical treatment when they are sick or injured. The same cannot be said for the Russians. The Ukrainians also get paid on time, which enables them to support their families, another important point to remember when on the front line, you don't need the worry of how your family is surviving in your absence. That's the last thing you need, on top of everything else going on around you.

This is the problem with these foolish clowns who use terms like "so called western media". We have all across Europe, all of North America, much of the Pacific, Parts of Africa, Parts of the Middle East, and parts of South America, multiple layers of free press who compete against one another.
The result is the truth always outs and we can follow the stories of men like that one individual soldier.

The sooner Russia runs out of convict's to just mindlessly throw at Ukraine the better. They'll probably be able to muster up 100k or so in total. Hardly anyone in Russia will care about these perishing but they'll care when they move on to throwing regular citizens at the front line in the same way.

I don't think anybody is put out by someone having a different opinion. You are however after saying any opinion other than yours is stupid, that opinion other than yours is brain dead and now miss stating the point of view of other posters and dismissing that statement with an emoji. I think you are the one missing the point of discusing things on boards as you are ignoring valid points that have been made to you. Rather than taking on board the reasons that your contention that the cold will have an equal effect on both sides does not make sense when one side is much better prepared due to being on home ground etc., you continue to simply insult those trying to point out the inaccuracy of your opinion. I don't think Chinese whospers has anything they need to address as they have made a good point that you are simply repeating the same BS as you started with and while it is fine to have an opinion if it makes no sense this will continue to be challenged.
