When you refer to "workers", you're not talking about Twitter employees are you? Only a minority of loonies have been infuriated, but they are just excessively loud on the interweb machine. Most of the middle class (myself included) couldn't give a hoot about who is or isn't on Twitter.
None of this will impact Tesla, with the exception of the time diverted by the CEO who is spreading himself thin. That said, he has put together great teams of people who are working hard on the current and future products/services in Tesla, Spacex, Neuralink etc etc.
I don't think it was a good idea to remove parking sensors, but if anyone needs them, as opposed to liking the convenience of them, then they really should be driving.
what does that mean for us plebs who bought this version/crop? Which batch are we getting?
god.
You think ? , I think il order a second Y so
Even if they're re-instated from mid 23 on, they won't be retrofitted into the M3s and MYs built without them for 6 months. If they do re-instate them in new builds it will be an admission of defeat for vision only and Tesla definitely won't continue ANY software development for their camera-only cars. They are going to take a hit in resale value, and since it's only 6 months of cars and a relatively small number, it will be a big hit. If Tesla were to wait 12 months before re-instating, then not such a big hit.
Wut? My wife isnt going to be able to park at all. Wth
its A 2022 car not 1982 car!
You mainly see that in the US.
but, it was also very prevalent here too years ago 0n new bmw, mercs and Audi.
Already chat about people keying tesla cars on tesla forums . Seems to be a lot of anti musk/tesla sentiment brewing
Most motoring consumers aren't keen on driving around in the mobile version of a MAGA hat either
It did impact sales of VW, sure they didn't fall to zero but it is wrong to say that it had no impact
Most motoring consumers aren’t bothered about social media liberals being outraged by Elons recent changes
I hear you, but in the Mercedes or VW examples, you couldn't tie it to a person. Musk is Tesla.
Personally speaking, him turning in to a bit of a loon, does the brand no good. My own association was "genius product", now its "f**king headcase". Probably won't stop me buying one.
However, he'll be gone from Tesla within the next year. Guaranteed. This is a Steve Jobs (part 1) scenario
I don't think that will happen.
Look at VW with their scandals, didn't really effect sales.
Look at Mercedes and them screwing Irish coach owners, didn't effect sales.
The average Joe on the street, my Dad, doesn't even know who Elon Musk is.
Ah no, it's not quite that simple.
He is Tesla and Tesla is him. He's also the CEO of Twitter and has infuriated the middle classes by his treatment of workers and allowing many banned people back to the platform.
If he continues to excite an emotive response by aligning with right wing actions and views, he will drive down sales.
😂😂 Why would it hurt sales?
"I'm thinking of buying a Tesla"
"But he was booed at a Dave Chapelle gig"
"Ah I'll leave it so"
Saw the video of a good section of the crowd booing Musk, that's gonna hurt sales
All sensors removed, front and back. Rumors that they are going to be reinstated mid 2023 but who knows...
Haha, just checked. You're right. The German site comes up with the 20" as standard. When you select the 19" it goes back to 455km
Also, I'm pretty sure the WLTP with the blade pack is 440km
So does that mean we get no front parking sensors anymore? Or no sensors at all or still front and back? Im getting so confused.
Or he failed to notice that that is on the 20inch wheels. No difference from Ireland
And Electric Viking spotted that if you go order a RWD Model Y in Germany, the range is indicated as 430km. This could mean that the 55kWh BYD blade battery is only going to German customers. All other countries still show 455km, being the 60kWh CATL pack. Of course it could just be a fluke, or the other websites not yet updated.
So Tesla Model Y is no longer the safest car ever tested by Euro NCAP. It was passed in total score first by the Lucid Air, and now by the new Tesla Model S, which officially now is the safest car ever tested.
Consolation price: the Model Y is still the safest car ever tested....for the driver. This is very important 😁
I have one on order and got PCP quote last week - slightly different interest rate of 5.75% but APR still 5.9%. Surprisingly low GMFVs, and no real difference in monthlies between 3 and 4 years. Still on to keep it if I get enough for my ID4 - however, the lack of parking sensors mentioned above would make me seriously reconsider the order.
I can't see anything in our Order Agreement about financing APR? I was told by Tesla at order time:
Hi Sylvester, we would not apply for financing just yet as the applications are only valid for up to 90 days. We will be reaching out to customers in early 23 to prompt for finance applications. Please note you would need to know how much you wish to borrow as amendments to approved finance can sometimes require a new application. Elon IE Delivery Team
Same
That was offered at the start, with finance ireland. Didnt get a chance or anything else. Since i have a proper quote/document, i would assume thats what ill be paying. There will be trouble if it goes up. Quote was 18.10.2022, represented interest 5.59% and apr 5.9% on pcp 3 years.
i cant afford cash, not worth hp, and our 1350 tax per year environment killer banger is falling to pieces. Nct on 21.12.2022 if it fails for anything costly im scrapping it.
Borrowing for a depreciating asset is never a wise move no matter the interest rate IMO.
I could be one of those people. 4.9% was high but acceptable. 5.9% is rather expensive.
Actually, it used to be AIB now it's Finance Ireland Motor & Leasing. 4.3k of interest over 5 years for 28k borrowed. Dunno, seems insane.
Not necessarily, only one company kept production elevated using inappropriate and untested chips, the others still have backlogs of various durations, even Dacia
Did you get that rate locked in?
I understood that it will be whatever the rate will be at time of purchase. With the wholesale cost of borrowing rising, it could be over that in February. Hoping it isn't.
Ive had 5.9%. I was approved in october? Whenever the price went down i put an order in so it didnt increase just now
