I don't know if I genuinely believe the two lads that Roddy's book was the best though. Sounded like Kellie's book is not great at all. Eoin kinda saying maybe it was his favourite. I'm not buying it.

I have the Roddy book on the kindle raring to go. Just need to pour myself a pint a wine and lock horns with the Don of Irish soccer.
The interview with Roddy a couple of months ago kinda put me off it as Rodney was kinda annoying and not as funny as he's made out to be but then on today's episode, Malachy Clerkin made the point that Paul Howard does a much better job at articulating the stories through the book than Roddy does in person.
He even alluded to the Podcast as an example where he said one of Roddy's stories was a bit of a dud because he went off on so many tangents but the same story is much funnier in the book
I'm going to give the Audiobook a listen now as I was surprised at how positive a review it got today.

Roddys book is class. Especially if you have an interest in your own league.

No interest in the book stuff personally but I know it's popular, just forgot it was dropping when I'm in World Cup mode 😁 Today's pod is much more my thing, good chat about the Qatar experience with someone who has covered the whole thing extensively.
