Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.
The Commitments - 7th - 19th February (Olympia Theatre)
Elton John - 28th/29th March (3Arena)
Around 5k
It's open air?
Trinity is a copycat set up to iveagh gardens. Same capacity etc
Bought tickets to Dermot Kennedy in Thomond park for July 7th for GF birthday.
Ticket says it starts at 5pm. Anyone with a bit more experience know what time frame we are looking at for the concert? All hotels in limerick seem to be sold out for the date so wondering would it be awful late to head back up to Galway to stay afterwards?
Presuming the 5pm start time isn't the actual start time like
Yup
Dermot Kennedy will be on around 9pm, concert will finish between 10-10:45pm depends on event licence conditions imposed by Limerick council.
8-8.30pm I'd imagine.
Should be over by ten fifteen.
Idles, Jamie XX, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, Tom Odell, Fred Again, Niall Horan, Steve Lacy, Amyl and the Sniffers and Rick Astley announced for Electric Picnic.
Yes saw OMD few times and always brilliant . Not much aware of soft cell material bar the three hits . Could be a good gig alright
Looks like June is going to be a busy month at this rate !
Is Slane supposed to have any concerts other than Harry Styles next year?
lord Mountcharles previously said that double was planned for 2022 but ultimately shelved. He said that one act confirmed for 2023 Ie Harry styles.
Darn no AC/DC then
Mimi Webb for Cork
Thats a real shame. Was hoping for AC/DC or even the Chili Peppers to come back
Chili Peppers are coming back to Europe. Glasgow and Hotspur stadium in UK
Pillow Queens curating a gig on Paddy's Day in Collins Barracks. 12 acts over 4 stages. Tickets 35e plus fees on sale from Wednesday. Pity rest of the line up isn't out before tickets go on sale but sounds like it could be good. https://twitter.com/PillowQueens/status/1599770965852172288?t=pRebb8rboBZDNNiGN0yCQA&s=19
Did they cancel those two in the tour just gone?
I heard they were not good
They cancelled Glasgow, the London date is a new gig.
I saw them in Marlay Park and thought they were excellent
Could be a fun night out.
Don't think there's a demand for RHCP to sell out Slane these days
Yeah and July/August pretty quiet atm in terms of non festival gigs here
I'm guessing by the end of this week all shows will be announced for the Christmas Market
Nowhere near. They were in Marlay Park last summer. Wouldnt warrant Slane at all
Least can know where we stand there gig wise, not a whole many gigs I'd be tempted with here next summer so might see what festivals abroad might be worth going too.
Holding out hope that Iveagh Gardens might have some decent gigs and maybe 1 or 2 decent acts in Marquee. No word on Galway Big Top yet or Forbidden Fruit so be interesting to see if those line ups will be out before new year.
I'm surprised Forbidden Fruit hasn't announced anything yet, you'd think they would have been one of the first to do so considering it's more or less one of the first major festivals of the summer.
Wouldn’t be shocked if forbidden announce something next week
5th time seeing them...Was amongst the worst I thought
Kaiser Chiefs are announced a while in Galway, allthough thats a rescheduling of their cancellation last year. In 2022, acts were not announced until around last May, which is very late for gig announcements, but i’d guess, it will be earlier than that, for 2023.
Big top is part of arts festival and it wont be for while before that line up is announced. Will be February at the earliest...
Spiritbox UK & Ire dates in July...
9th Belfast
10th Dublin
