Closing date for initial applications is 17/11/22.
The information Booklet for the Open competition is below, if you need to refer to it at a later stage in the competition.
Best of luck everyone!
It hasn't been possible in previous years so I'd say no
So you have to buy a webcam to do these tests. Why won't a laptop camera suffice. The quality of the image wouldn't be that inferior.
Usually the total score is 80, the pass rate is around 40 depending on the test. However, your points will depend on how well you do in comparison to the whole group of candidates doing these tests. I hope that makes sense... Basically, just do your best and hope for the best :)
I'm scoring 5 to 7 in all of the jobtestprep attempts so far. Feeling so uncertain about it all and not sure how brusing up on long division & adding fractions in my mid forties is going to help me manage a team 😫 Does anyone know what scores are required to pass?
Does anyone know if it's possible to move back and forth through questions during the live exam?
@billyhead
That was extremely quick! Anyone else interested in going halves on the job prep tests?

There is no negative marking
I can't open the instruction booklet properly. Could someone possibly upload it here or forward it to me. You can pm me with it please.
Does anyone know if there is negative marking (if we lose marks for incorrect answers) for the numerical and verbal reasoning tests?
i sent u a pm :)
Had same issue was using my driving licence changed to my passport and it accepted it although a little fuzzy you could read it.
Is anyone else having trouble with the ID verification? I'm using my work computer (at home) and the web cam just won't focus on my ID! Is this a me issue or a public jobs issue?!
That was quick! Tests to be completed no later than 13/12/2022
The numerical are awful 😕 *What is the total value of x when multiplied by a pink elephant using the value of unicorns*
I'm getting around the same, 4/5 - but mostly 4
It’s the normal score! For verbal reasoning and SJT.
I’m struggling a little with numerical - 4/5… wondering what the passing score would be
Anyone interested in going halves on the resources from https://www.jobtestprep.co.uk/irish-civil-service-assistant-principal-prep
PM me.
Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how many of the numerical reasoning questions you would need to get through? At the moment I'm struggling to get past 9 on the JobsTest prep packs.
Is that the normal score or the amount of questions you are getting right? If its the former, its a good score.
Hi all
curious to know what is deemed a good score on the practice tests?
I got the job test package and I seem to be scoring consistently around 7/8 with the occasional one as low as 5.
What would be a passing score?
yes thats the one i bought. I contacted them and got it sorted
Did you buy the specific Irish Civil Service Assistant Principal test prep pack? This is what I see when I log in:
anyone having any issues with this site. I signed up and paid for a month but when i go back into the test section, its asking me to sign up and pay again
It was about four weeks from submitting form to online tests for the inter d HEO.
so, possibly second / third week of December.
Does anyone have an idea of when the assessments will take place?
Interested. Drop me a pm.
I was just going to suggest this. Also google for coupon codes, the first one I found dropped it from 58 to 46 euro! I split it with my brother so 23e each for a month of prep really isnt too much. Group up and split the cost and use your coupons folks!
Does anyone want to split the cost of exams with me ? Used below for HEO and I got 100% on the Math and 70/80 on the verbal so am going to go with them again. 58e for 4 weeks which should be plenty of time to practice ! Send me a message about it and I'll figure out what the split is after a day or two.
The latest HEO comp had everyone do the assessment. Then, you received an OOM based on those results. Afterwards, shortlisting based on forms gave a new OOM
I am contemplating doing this. However, I don't want to waste money if I won't get to use it. Are the initial applications looked at or does everyone who applies get to do the assessments?
