This is the first time I’ve heard bipolar personality disorders symptoms include shouting you love Hitler for inventing the microphone.
It's one thing to say that Hitler wasn't all bad, but just because he invented the microphone (if that's even true) doesn't mean he was in anyway a caring person. Hitler was a very ambitious person and I guess it's not impossible that people could indeed learn a thing or two from his story in order to achieve their own goals. If I did learn something from Hitler's story, I wouldn't be telling anyone about it because they'd get the wrong idea. But Kanye has to say it aloud for the attention. Even if what Kayne is saying is true, the problem is that he doesn't care that people might misinterpret it. I think that if Hitler was alive today, that Kanye would like to meet him and shake his hand, etc. I would see that as counterproductive for society. I think it's safe to say that he just likes the attention he knows this will get.

I'm saying that Kayne is clearly suffering from a mental ilness. Any rational minded person should be able to clearly see that. I think by people taking him literally and demonizing him when he is clearly in a manic state is just wrong. People need to be more mindfully of mental ilness and rather then demonizing someone we should be concerned for their health and wellbeing. People around him should encourage him to seek medical help. He certainly shouldn't be given a platform in his current state and I think that's just abusing his situation.
You selectively quoted that part of the LA times article that correlated Jewish people "running" the entertainment industry. There is the clear implication of exactly what Kanye West said.
It was just a text dump of Jewish names and their role in the entertainment industry. Nothing more than that. No commentary, nothing. Just a word dump.
Most importantly, you deliberately left out the following passages, which counter the highly implicated (and in my judgement, anti-Semitic) phrase of "Jew's running Hollywood".

You knew exactly what you were doing in that post, with its selective quotations.
If you had any intent on balance, you would have included references to those paragraphs which dismissed the "dangerous phrase" of "Jew's controlling Hollywood".
But you didn't, and it's quite clear why.

I don't need to be a psychologist or a psychiatrist to hold the opinion that you are not sane if you love Hitler.
I only joined the conversation because another poster was being a little unfair by claiming that someone said that everyone who suffers mental illness loves hitler when that wasnt the case.
I do however have first hand experience with people who suffer manic episodes and judging by some of Kanye Wests behaviour, recent and past, I recognise very similar traits.
Apparently though people are sneering that in order to have a valid opinion, you need to be a fully qualified expert. Seems a strange attitude to have on a discussion board.
Maybe read those posts again. I never “adjudged” his mental state. His BPD is already documented, there is no adjudication of it.

Nobody is saying you need a diagnosis of mental illness to praise Hitler or Stalin or Zedong.
But someone who does praise people who killed tens of millions is definitely unhinged and detached - neither of which are mental illnesses.

Sanity: reasonable and rational behaviour
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being completely sane and 10 being completely insane; where would you put someone who openly praises an individual who was responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of people?
That's not a diagnosis of mental illness, it's a statement of reality.
Someone who praises such a person cannot be said to be engaging in "reasonable and rational behaviour".
We all know what is meant by describing somebody as not sane. I see you are no more reasonable in your new incarnation.
