Hi there,
I was lucky enough to get a place for September 25 this year.
Anyone else going?
Anyone done wolfsburg previously?
Looking like a good alternative option so far.

I got in on the lottery after years of trying! Flights booked. The date doesn't really suit for work but I'll make it work.
That was the initial plan but two of the group have entries to Dublin that they would like to use, so ideally the mahjong would be 4-6 weeks before Dublin.
Frankfurt would be my choice. 29 Oct. Takes the "Dublin Double" out of the equation but that's definitely a good thing.
Amsterdam is two weeks later. Highly recommend it based on my experience this year.
16% chance of lottery last year - about 4 times the chances of getting into London, but still stacked against you. There's no separate application process for 'locals' so unless you're a conspiracy theorist, the address is irrelevant. Condolences on not getting in all the same, it's not easy but there's always the tourist route.
Yep, me too with the Q time. Definitely the way to get in. Everyone I know in the lottery got rejected. Obviously a lot of interest for the 2023 race, maybe they have post-lockdown deferrals still in the system, although I haven't been tracking their policy.
See you there, hopefully.
PFO using a German address
Anecdotally, some German colleagues all told me when they used their German address they were successful and when they used a non-German address they weren't - I'll cede to your insight though!
That wouldn't have made the slightest difference.
Well it's great to get what you wanted. Happy days, and someone else got the place. The rugby lads will appreciate your support. 😉
Amsterdam, Lisbon, Bruge, Venice, Warsaw...i'm going to stick a pin in a map
PFO 🤣
Anyone have any recommendations for another marathon around then? Half debating paying €467 for entry still!
Got in with the Q time aswell.....hearing of plenty of PFOs though
I'm in, but based on a qualifying time rather than good fortune. Have had a number of the PFOs down the years so delighted to finally have the opportunity to enter.
Also a PFO.
Why do I get my hopes up? Seriously I woke up this morning like a kid at Christmas. Refreshing my inbox all day. Only to be told to PFO..... Grrrr!!
PFO!
Just received my PFO email.
Despite not been available to do it next year, I'm still a little disappointed :D
I dont take rejection well.
Will need to figure out a plan for racing these big races. I have it in my head, that I would like to run all 6 big ones
Nope, waited a week before the race and gave up, went out and bought some endorphin pros.
I did get an email a couple of weeks ago asking to complete the attached survey about my experience with the Adidas runners in the race. So I told them what happened, what I ran in, and gave the pros a great review.
Please reject me
Didnt realise it clashes with Ireland vs South Africa in the world cup when I applied.
Will be deferring if I get in
Lottery results start being issued tomorrow...
The tracking chip is a rental fee - you return at the end of the race for a refund. I forgot to do so in 2014 and still have the chip, which I assume I can use again!
Did the runners ever arrive?
€170+! I hope I don't get in but entered last night. Surprised they charge you for your tracking chip.
You had my hopes up when I didn't receive a PFO email :) Checking the official website, it says this:
Unfortunately, the 2022 draw results were mistakenly resent on 17th of November of 2022. These notifications about the raffle luck do not apply to the current lottery period.
Lottery results for 2023 will be out in December.
