A want to seek revenge is a human feeling. You can say 'I understand why they might XYZ'. without necessarily agreeing with the action itself.
If someone killed your whole family, I could say 'I understand why you might want to kill that person in revenge' - doesn't mean I agree with it as an action, just means I can empathise with your anger and can understand where you are coming from wanting to seek revenge.
And if the theoretical becomes reality your position will be.....???
And I fully admire the Ukrainian side for not stooping to the level of what the Russians have been doing. But I didn't ask you for your opinion of what the Ukrainians should or shouldn't do, I asked you for your opinion. What would YOU do in response to Russian barbarity?
His area of interest definitely seems to be the south of Ukraine. That area he focused on was Kherson Oblast I think, not Crimea ?
Fully understand what you're saying. I may have missed it, but I've yet to see anyone here expressing the "I understand" line saying clearly they don't support such a course of action when pressed on it.
I suppose the only thing that can be said currently is that any additional supply coming onstream into the global markets, has to be good news, even if it will still take a while to iron out the kinks. For sure, it's not good news for Putin (he has to be selling now below cost? ) and for OPEC also?
I’d wish you would stop posting such opaque evasive opinions. One last time, are you personally against the killing of ones civilian population as a tactic or not? I am. What is your position on this?
“It seems you are trying to bait people”.
No, I just want to know what your position is on a topic, thats all. How can i talk to you when i don’t know what your stance is on something? Bizarre.
Can I ask you a question 17-pdr.?, considering your stated position now is that you are not in Favour of tit-for-tat killing. Now change the circumstances, and you arrive home only to find that your family are all dead, or nearly dead and the badly mutilated survivors wishing they were dead. I'm not going to describe it any more than the above general description. But believe me I could, and in very graphic terms too. Because this is the reality that far too many Ukrainians have found and are finding themselves in, each and every day. Now. how would you react if you found yourself in the same circumstances? Circumstances alter cases.
No, you're fine.
I dont need a history lesson.
My original post still stands.
To be bluntly honest with you I don’t know, as I’ve never personally gone through it (thank God). And thats not me copping out btw, its just my opinion on it. Look at the experiences of people up in the North who have lost loved ones and called for no retaliation.
All I want to know is that people who are expressing the “but i understand” line, are they against the killing of civilians as a justified retaliatory tactic or not?
Its a simple question tbh. I can’t understand the ridiculous levels of evasiveness that’s going on in this thread about it. I really don’t.
Striking to hear Simonyan and Solovyov discuss the prospect of Russia losing and the leaders being placed on trial at The Hague as war criminals. Lots of bluster about how defeat is totally out of the question, but you get the impression the whole thing is starting to weigh on their minds.
Hmm, all you seem to be doing is hiding your real opinion behind an emotional (quite understandable btw) response to what i posted. Same question to you. Against the killing of civilians as a retaliatory response? Yes or no? I am. Are you?
Hardened enough to stop 5.56mm standard NATO rounds or AK rounds penetrating their bodies ?
You can be as "hardened" as you like, get kissed by one of those rounds and you're down.
So, it's the "But they understand " line is what bothers you 17-pdr? Well, I understand too, perfectly, 1000%, and so would you if you had any actual experience, aside from conclusion's formed by the Internet, TV or Newsprint. And believe it or not, I'm not a warmonger, and hope to God that I will finish this Life without harming anyone. But if I were ever in this situation, then I'd do everything in my power to make sure that the perpetrators were wiped off the face of the earth. And it would not bother me one little bit, in fact I'd consider it a service to humanity. But this may not necessarily be official Government approved policy.
True. It would be bloody messy for sure I reckon. Not quite entirely sure what point your making though….?
Read it a few more times, it might make sense to you at some point.

Just a brief update from the east and bakhmut, same old there i guess, not much changes since yesterday
Pretty same old ,same old the Russians move forward posters gets very excited at the idea of the Russians pushing into ukraine only to get blasted back the whole 25 meters they moved forward,
Followed by radio silence until the next Russian push .
Good post. Your phrase “the perpetrators” is important here though. You want them punished. At least you are honest and say you want them killed. I admire that. You are stating what you think. Oh that others would do the same here and state their actual position on something.
How would i react? Yes, if faced with that scenario i might want them executed for their crimes too. I understand why that response could be considered. But I never want to face that horrible position in the first place.
Sorry mate, I have. I’m not trying to be obtuse or anything, but I’m none the wiser of what you’re trying to put across.
Priceless. See the expression on Margaritas face when Solovyov says " There will not be any Hague, and she says Why not? and he replies, "because the whole world will be turned into ashes". Her shocked wide eyes look clearly says are you out of your freiking mind?? 😎
On the outskirts of Kherson in the village of Pravdyne, a new mass burial of people killed by the Russian military was discovered. The bodies were found with their hands tied and blindfolded. All were shot in the head at close range
He's obviously getting his crack cocaine from north Korea....
Good, and the more the merrier, and the sooner the better. Slava UKRAINE
Looks like it's starting to rain on orcs somewhere inside ukraine
The Kremlin; unfortunately it doesn't appear serious.
LOL. I've heard it all now - How dare you say we Russians are not as cruel as Chechens and Buryats

No 17-pdr. I don't want them punished, that implies revenge, I'll leave that to God, that's his business not mine. I could not punish them enough anyway. Also it implies a crime, a trial, a sentence and (unless it's a death sentence) release back into society. No, I want them exterminated so they cannot harm anyone again ever. And if their Families suffer because of their deaths, sorry, but I would not be having much sympathy for them
