They chopped the MY price here in a big way to get in under the grant and shift more cars. No reason why they wouldn't include a few more buyers of used stock into their current list. I think we will see this going forward in the not too distant future.
As an aside, in deciding on a new car, tried two other dealers

No reason, except it isn't on the agenda in Tesla. It simply is a non-issue for them, they aren't interested. If you want the traditional trade in model, go buy another car. You buy our cars online, like you buy a €0.99 USB cable with free delivery from Amazon. We don't care about your old broken USB cable or your used old toilet paper, condoms or cars
Gotta give it to them. Complete disregard for existing business models, if you don't like it, fook off. Zero spend on marketing or advertising. It seems to work for them. Although it upsets people that want to hang on to the past.
That's the situation now. When it benefits them and they need to shift more product as competition increases, they will see it as a no brainer to include a few more dealers in their contact list to make offers for trade-ins. That price drop for the MY was a significant change to shift those cars. Plenty on here took advantage of it...yourself included. If Tesla are willing to drop thousands off the price of a car like that, its nothing to add in a few more dealers to take our used jonnies and jaxroll off our hands.
It's just not the way they operate, @...Ghost... Not now and I can't see it changing either. It is us who will have to adapt to the new game. Personally it doesn't suit me as I pride myself in doing sharp negotiations. I resent getting the same deal as a lame "yes please Sir" merchant, unlike in the past where I scored a few superb deals due to a combination of the right timing, luck and bargain finding and negotiating skills. All of that is gone now. But we will just have to get over it. Embrace the new way things are done. Aren't we so lucky to live in these times of rapid changes?

If you look at the US model of car dealerships, car costs X , when you go to look at it, the dealer whacks on another few grand for "dealership fees", its not quite that bad here but they do make up the money elsewhere.
Are the covid situation, subsequent protests and projected smackdown in Shanghai likely to hit our delivery times? I think for Feb delivery our cars should be made late December which is when impact will be greatest?
Delivery is Feb / Mar and afaik the boat takes about 4-5 weeks, so I don't expect our cars to be produced until at least well into January.

Normally you get a confirmation immediately. There was even same day appointments a while ago when I went out to Sandyford.
I got the call within 2 days with multiple options. Try again. It’s very possible the request didn’t go or a tech issue.
On the other hand, if you rather the Volvo then that’s the one to go for. Don’t buy a car that you don’t really like.

As its more than €150 you probably will be slapped with customs duty +vat + 10 eur anpost handling fee. Might be an expensive purchase with no recourse.
