Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.
The Commitments - 7th - 19th February (Olympia Theatre)
Elton John - 28th/29th March (3Arena)
Chem Bros also playing next June in Cork - busy month
No it wouldn't, the minimal touring means easy accessible cities are on the cards. I don't think they'll be here in 2023 anyway '24 who knows?
They know what they are at, you can ONLY buy tickets to BOTH shows before Christmas on the ones going on sale soon, single day tickets late January. They likely won't need to sell many single day tickets when a whole charge of people will be swooping in for both nights that they have assembled different support bands and won't be playing any songs they did in the location they did the first time out.
Van Morrison at the 3Olympia 27 February
Starting at 76 quid....
(on sale 9am Friday)
Tickets starting from €91 for The Weeknd in Marlay Park
possibly it could be a scaled back stage with it not in a stadium setting
Last time I checked (this morning) Edmonton and Montreal were in Canada.
Pfft, that's what the big map companies want you to think.
For some reason when my eyes didn't see Toronto or Vancouver I just didn't see the others........
Lads am I right in thinking over 16s are OK unaccompanied for Marlay Park gigs?
Expect stalls to be double that, he’s charging very steep prices for all of his gigs.
Is he still a narky ballax ?
Kraftwerk - Saw the 3d show, at the Marquee in 2018. absolutely superb show, and agree Castle Backdrop sounds extra special
Any word of there being gigs in Pairc Ui Caoimh next year?
Saw him in the Cork Opera House earlier this year, 97 euro for every seat.
He played for 90 minutes and just walked off, band kept playing for another 8 minutes, and most people thought he would return but he didnt.
Setlist was lousy, played very few of his hits too.
If you are charging 97 euro you play your hits.
Nada thus far, AFAIK.
The match scheduling, severely limits when they can have an act there, i thought Bruce might have played there when he first announced his Euro tour, but not to be.
Expect golden circle & VIP malarky, at very high pricing, but could be a good “show”
Same in the 3arena a few years ago. My mum's a massive fan, seen him plenty and flew over to come with us that time. She thought it was crap
Great band and great live too. Hopefully they fill the Olympia.
Pet Shop Boys presale not gone live yet. grrrrr!!!
The Frames playing 2 gigs at the Marquee in June and 1 in Belfast. https://twitter.com/aikenpromotions/status/1597515719662391296?t=KL6TidRWIr-zXxxMsG6ngQ&s=19
Sylvan Esso playing Vicar Street on the 4th July. https://twitter.com/Vicar_Street/status/1597515719947603968?t=1-wqp-07W2OEw3tu6nCGOQ&s=19
Of course as soon as I post that it up it comes lol. Tickets acquired!
Any idea of ticket prices for Saxon in Dublin
From €44.05 according to 3olympia website.
3plus presale underway already apparently.
Anna B Savage playing Whelans on Friday 24th March. https://twitter.com/foggynotions/status/1597595137223577601?t=hJQBG0I6geooBC4IXAaRug&s=19
I had eight gigs in June 2022 and I've tickets for five of those June events above. It's also not impossible that Sparks end up here in early June 2023, given that they're in London at the end of May, though - if anything - they will probably add dates prior to the Albert Hall.
4th Lionel Richie/The Human League, St. Anne’s Park
14th Depeche Mode, Malahide Castle
19th Pet Shop Boys, 3Arena
25th Peter Gabriel, 3Arena
28th Sting/Blondie, Malahide Castle
Only have 16 lined up for next June, although 2 of them are Roger Waters, 2 are Peter Gabriel and another 2 Ozzy and Judas Priest, so that's only 13 really....
And those Ozzy dates aren't going to happen 1 would imagine (between his health and Pantera having Zakk Wylde as guitarist on same dates as Ozzy shows)
I have/had 15 concerts in 2022. 2 more left for the year. Some of those were Covid carryovers. A couple of them were in June. Only have 4 concerts lined up for next year, none of them in June. There's 3 or 4 gigs in Malahide I'd be interested in going to but the venue is putting me off so haven't bought tickets for any of them as if yet.
Don’t come for me guys I am a fan so please no snide remarks . Madonna supposed to be announcing a Greatest hits celebrating 40 years career . I’m hoping for 3arena as I know she struggled with selling out Slane and Aviva last time. 3 arena would be better fit imo.
Eric Gales and Michael Schenker playing the Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon in June.
hi guys i have had an account for ages so first time commenting but does anyone know or have any guesses if any gigs are to be announced for croke or aviva ? im dying to see the weeknd but really dont wanna see him in marlay park
