Bloody ridiculous penalty. WTAF.....
That is a joke of a decision.
Ah, seriously, we're looking at that?! A fella falling with his hand below him doing literally the most natural possible thing?
What the actual **** like, what are ya meant to do?!
Pen given after Ronaldo subbed ffs.
Alright Bruno can have that one. Give Ronaldo the other one. 😂
Wouldn't surprise me if Ronaldo will be crying to come back on the pitch to take the penalty.
That is a horrible decision
Joke
So....yet again....we are done with VAR !
Never a pen,.where is he meant to put his hand.
Is Ronaldo allowed come back on?
Does he rescind that yellow now if given a penalty. The ball hitting his hand stops a goal scoring chance of course it should be a penalty
Peter Fvckin Walton..... Itv, go Fvck yourself!
So corrupt
A goalscoring chance was disrupted by a players hand altering the course of the ball.
Accidentally or not it's a penalty I would think
He can claim this don't worry.
Of all these weird stupid handball penalty decisions - of which there have been many - this is actually the worst.
Beyond idiocy.
RTE Commentator making this unwatchable. We get it, you don't like VAR.
Ridiculous penalty decision. 2 easy goals for Portugal.
Awful decision.
Where else is his arm supposed to go ?? VAR is a joke
Time for Ronnie and Ray and all the 'in my day' brigade to get the door.
Every cloud 🤪
Pitch invader is not leaving Qatar anytime soon
Except that's not the rule. The rule is not that any handball is a foul. The rule is that purposeful handballs are fouls, or the ball hitting a players hand in a demonstrably unnatural position is a foul.
This is neither of those things... it literally couldn't be a more natural position for the hand to be in.
Possibly the worst VAR decision yet
I'm normally very harsh in what I'd call a handball for but that one is really poor imo, is he supposed to just keep his hands by his side and let himself get injured hitting the floor?
whatever the laws are for handball, there must be some element of intent, if there is then the VAR does not know the rules.
I thought that was one of the more clear cut penalties I've seen VAR give. Bruno was through on goal if it didn't hit his hand, accidental or not it stopped a very clear cut goalscoring opportunity.
VAR official and ref need to call it a day. Awful.
Looks closer than that.
I see 'Hair of God' is trending. Pretty good one, that.
But an accidental handball is not a foul. That's in the rules. You're allowed to have hands.
It's only a foul if you've specifically done something 'unnatural' for your hand to have touched the ball. I don't think anyone can argue that perhaps the most basic human instinct can be classed as unnatural.
