If coming from East side of the country your best going to Tesco & Sainsburys in Newry. Get yourself a Tesco Clubcard or scan of one of the barcodes in the NIRL Bargain Alerts thread, they have a large amount of alcohol deals requiring the Clubcard to avail of them, a ROI card will not work.

Any specific locations - not showing online. I've tried few times in Charlestown and no whiskey deals there usually.
Slabs were a good way to get value
MUP ruined that so now you can pick up smaller packs at rock bottom prices so no value in slabs anymore
Dunnes have Crested Ten for €23
I saw in one branch where they were advertising the 15 packs as "mini slabs".

Yes. Black barrel comes in a box, which is helpful. Then wrap in bubble wrap & put into a large zip bag, on the off chance that it breaks.
