With route maps and new teams kits starting to come out I thought it a good time to get this going
Got mine at the weekend, under 12's are free which is great and €15 is very reasonable I think. Haven't told the girls that "cross is coming" in case the weather is crap and they get disappointed by not coming. I'll be there regardless and I'm pretty sure the 105 bus drops me near by so won't even have to drive.
Speaking of cross head up needed this week as the Superprestige round is on Friday usual times of 12:30 for the women and 14:00 for the men.
Unlucky for me Irish Rail have suspended all ticket sales from that day on while they work out the new schedule.
So I'm going I just don't know what time.
FFS, how am I meant to get home
Tickets should be out in the next few days.
I see they just announced commuter and Dart til 1am at weekends for Christmas (off topic but pretty cool if ya live there)
Tickets available via Western Union transfer, PM me if interested 😉
Tá WVA ag teacht
Finally got my train ticket.
No coverage of the Gent six day from the looks of it. I'm not misremembering am I that Eurosport used cover the big six day meets?
I'm not crazy about the champions league track stuff.
Got an email saying the Eurosport Player will be decommissioned in January, but all can be watched on eurosport.com instead. A quick look and I can't see Cyclocross on the eurosport.com site. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place.
It redirects to the .co.uk site for me, so there click on Video up top and click by sport and then cyclocross is down on list on the left side for me.
I got that email too and was dreading them wanting to push me to discovery+ as I've no need of the rest of the rubbish channels they have. I'm more than happy to stick with eurosport only.
Same here. I saw elsewhere that if you have signed up through the Apple or Google store you do have to go for the full Discovery+. I'd say it is inevitable at this stage
Grand I'll have another look tonight. Yeah no interest in Discovery+ cruft or GCN because I like to watch snooker and the odd bit of tennis now and again.
On another note got a ticket for the Dublin event in December and I see PCS have 2 riders on the start list now. WVA and Pidcock. How accurate that is we'll have to wait and see.
Cyclingnews saying today the big 3 are expected to meet either at Antwerp or the following week here!!!!!
Just watching some CX highlights from the last round and thinking wouldn't it be great if if the chip vans with Belgian sauces and the Kwaremont brewery tents came over to Dublin 🤤
My partner just told me that she has a family weekend planned the weekend of the Dublin CX with her mother and the dates can't be changed. I feel like a small child wanting to throw a pointless tantrum. I asked first, I should be let go to my thing, this is so unfair.
What ever you do don't pull the "I wish X was my mother". Doesn't go down too well with wives.
WVA confirmed anyway
What's the parking facilities like out there?
Googled the place earlier and had to laugh at the fact that in amongst all the shinny new buildings is Cycling Ireland based in a derelict farmhouse.
Talk about a picture telling a thousand words.
Cyclist access only have you not heard of the anti car agenda 🤣🤣
Married for years, 2 kids, one grandchild and this is the first time I feel I'm justifiably miffed. This may be the greatest challenge our relationship has ever faced.
Found this online, interesting. QST obviously impacted by Alaphillipe missing most of the year.
Its a big turnaround given the whole wolfpack thing. They usually seem to have a high number of winners
any results or links to results for the Cx in westport today ?
Yes, see link in tweet.
Heads up the CX is on early today.... missed the womens race and had it spoiled :(
Mens race underway.
Just finished the Bray CX in Belmont Dense, absolutely class. Mechanical on lap 3 put me from top 50 to 100th. Women's race was good with the women's league finishing like most races with Orwell and Team Giant filling the top 3. Well done Bray on a great day. Had to run for the train so missed the A race.
Yeah it was super. Even three mechanicals on last lap which had me tumble down the order couldn't spoil the fun. Would be great if Belmont had that CX course permanently laid out... don't think it encroaches on any other facilities (MTB/ walking etc) either?
Nolan I think it was in the A Race had a mechanical just after the pits so ended up having to run pretty much a whole lap. I missed the end, but think he managed to hang on for the win.
You can take the man from the bog but not the bog from the man..
Correction: it was (Joseph) Mullen, not Nolan! Can't comment on his bog credentials, but impressive going either way!
