Appalling. I hope the perpetrators all get to see the inside of a courtroom at some stage in the future, and get v long prison sentences.
If it were your family that were the victims of such barbarity do you think you would be so bland in response?
Catch them, name them, shame them, try them and sentence them to hang out in a tiny room for the rest of their miserable lives. A good punishment IMO.
So either they shot down a russian cruise missile at low altitude and the downed missile crashed into a residential building less than 50m away from the point of interception of the missile, or perhaps the AA missile went off target - we have precedent for this. Poland, and Kramatorsk and thats just the 2 events that have been publicised widely
Agree, bar your death sentence proposal. I think being forced to live in a tiny room for the rest of their lives is a bigger psychological burden on them. Why give the enemy the option of conferring possible martyr status on these criminals?
What residential building, there's no reports of NASAMs hitting buildings anywhere,we don't even know where and when the Image in the tweet was actually taken.
Post your evidence and we can all have a look .
I believe your not being very honest with your claim
@timmyntc this is the claim you made.
The tweet you shared doesn't back up your claim.
One missle hits another in midair and explode this creates debris which is picked by ordinary Joe's on the ground,
Regarding these cruise missiles striking Ukrainian infrastructure; Where exactly are they being launched from? From russia/russian-occupied areas, or from submarines in the Black Sea?
Ships, submarines and aircraft, yesterdays attacks came from long range bombers from the Caspian sea and blacksea
Why do the likes of yourself & Timmy keep banging on about nuclear weapons? It's been thrashed out numerous times on the thread already and there is a general thinking abroad that nuclear is off the table.
So why keep raising the spectre of nuclear war? Unless yous are trying to spread doubt and undermine public thinking.
The shrapnel in that image was located next to a burning building in Kiev. I linked that particular tweet because otherwise you would dismiss the source as unreliable or russian propaganda - with a well known Ukrainian source you do not have that luxury.
Why do the likes of yourself & others keep banging on about a no-fly zone? It's been thrashed out numerous times on the thread already and there is a general thinking abroad that no-fly zone is off the table.
Because Timmy, some situations require practical responses. There's little point in filling the car with petrol if the tyres are flat. Is there?
Your 'solution' is not to go near the car, in case it blows up in your face.
Its off the table due to the current circumstances in which the conflict is being waged. Any escalation such as an article 5 scenario changes the game.
they’ll surely get medals ?
I'll add to this one tweet claimed a Nasm missle completely leveled a building in Kiev , building shown was struck by a Russian cruise missile the other day.
This is the shite been peddled as fact...
Complete bs and you know it ..
Absolutely dismissed that's why you wouldn't post it was pure shite.
And here is the tweet you based your claim on .. the building on fire was leveled with a Russian cruise missile...
🤦
At Kryvyi Rih and Kherson directions Russian army shelled Antonivka, Beryslav, Veletenske, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Novooleksandrivka, Ponyativka, Stanislav, Tokarivka, Shyroka Balka of Kherson region and Kherson city, - General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine says in the morning report
Strong words-
What's this about?-
So you think Europe should stand by and just offer the Ukrainians moral support.. so that you don't prod the angry bear too much?
Such a path to the coast would be a) very hard won and worse b) almost impossible to defend. They'd literally create their own pocket/pincer movement, with them in it. They'd be bracketed on both side well in range of Russian artillery to the degree that they could throw stones at them and the Russian airforce that's otherwise staying well back would be in play too out of range of Ukrainian air defences. Even the crappy Russian navy would be in play. NATO could do it because in the first week the Russian navy would be unintentional submarines, their airforce would be overwhelmed, their groundforces, radar and comms hit unbelievably hard and quickly by highly targeted missile strikes(eg look what happened to Baghdad in under 20 mins), followed by boots and tracks on the ground in the middle of the night, while naval forces grind what's left ahead of them. Ukrainians are bloody brilliant, but they simply don't have the overwhelming end of the world conventional military forces to do that.
The reason nukes are off the table is because both sides so far, that is Russia and NATO have essentially agreed that they're off the table and NATO and Russia won't engage directly with each other.
That officer is infected with the Russian version of reality, where you just make it up as you go along.
. the building on fire was leveled with a Russian cruise missile...
Source?
Lol .
It's on every news channel across the world.
Unlike the NASM claim you made
If thats the case it should be trivial to point to a source showing that the burning building, beside which the missile fragments were found, was infact hit by a russian cruise missile
I’m not sure why you keep repeat questioning me on a topic already covered. Heres what i said yesterday to you:
“lets see how the current strategy plays out. I won't suggest what Ukraine should do next as I am unaware as to what Ukraines current and future logistical capabilities would be. It will depend on what NATO supplies them with. You can't plan with what you don't have. Also bare in mind what Antony Blinken said last Summer re the use of donated weapons systems on Russian soil. NATO does not want escalation. I believe that remains the case.”.
Surely my position is clear at this stage, ie, I support the current NATO strategy.
You have nothing to offer while making false claims,
Absolute nonsense
As much as I like the idea and would probably like to order a shell with text "from pcardin to ruSSian pigs", it would be not so funny if someone ordered a shell with a text "From Ireland with love", or something along these lines, and ruSSian propoganda along with infiltrated dumbwits here on boards would start to make out an international scandal, saying Ireland is now participating in the war. I hope Ukrainians are doing some sort of screening on what is going on the shell, canon, or whatelse.
I'm not saying that you are wrong in your thinking Wibbs (or that I'm right either) but the surprises that this war has produced are unreal, to say the least. Like the majority, I'd be rooting for a Ukrainian win, with Ruzzians pushed back into Ruzzia, and finished militarily at least for a generation (two would be better....) but I'm a realist as well and understand it may well not work out like that either. The next 3 / 4 months will tell a lot either way, a lot will depend on Zelenski of course, but at this stage, I'm pretty sure that Putin is coming under increasing pressure on the home front, and not only from the Oligarch's. In one sense, it.s becoming a race against time for both sides.
