The OP suggested that journalists don't make up stuff like they used to, so they are now a conspiracy theorist. I said that journalists jobs was never to make up conspiracies... Now you seem to be disagreeing with me by saying that journalists make up stories but I presume that you also follow the OP's view that they don't.

Oh dear! It's the conspirators who "make up" the conspiracy i.e. plan it and carry it out.
It should be part of the journalist's job to try to get to the truth, including identifying and exposing corruption and conspiracies.
They should be asking tough questions, digging deep, doing proper investigations and holding politicians and others in power to account, instead of being the government's propaganda service. Journalists today are more like PR agents who just broadcast/print whatever the government tells them.

Do you have any examples of actual proven conspiracies which were exposed by people in online forums / twitter etc rather than by journalists carrying out investigations or being leaked information by someone in the know?
We can provide many examples of actual exposed conspiracies, but don't recall any which were not done with involvement of journalists doing their job which would be needed to support your claim that they are not doing so.
I am a conspiracy theorist. My main belief is that big conspiracy theory is carrying out a kind of psy op towards the gullible and narcissists by telling them what they want to hear.
We keep seeing on this forum though that conspiracy theorists don't really question anything. They don't dig deep and they don't do proper investigations.
Most of the time they are simply linking and copying opinions and claims from sources that actually are propaganda.
Never do we see any conspiracy theorists asking questions about these things. They never ask questions about the source this stuff is coming from. We often see that they barely read the things beyond the headline.
Nor do they like having any questions be asked. Like when they are asked about the giant obvious plot holes in the theory, or they are asked how the conspirators accomplished a seemingly impossible thing or if they are asked why the conspirators would leave giant obvious clues, they do everything but answer them.
Conspiracy theorists simply aren't interested in questions. They are only interested in there being a conspiracy and that they have secret knowledge about it that makes them feel special.
