Well well! How interesting!
I think it was before 2005. I know I was definitely there during the Rose festival in 2002.
Anyone know when the hole in the wall bar was closed in tralee
He must be the Kerry representative 😁
A couple of guys from Ready Roofing came today to do a quote and he introduced himself as PJ Doolan!
His number isn't mentioned on this site, but he could still have something to do with them I suppose.

I think he is from the same company!
Well claims to be anyway! The job I had was not a house roof but he was willing to take a look anyway and gave me a quote for it. As I say I haven't experience of his actual work but was going by recommendations. Have a look through his page, lots of roof pics there so see if any suits what you will need.

there seems to be a crash on the Oakpark road by the junction to the muing road. Gardai diverting traffic from Kileen/Oakpark road junction. Proved very awkward for me to get home as my house was just beyond the crash & a garda actually suggested I park car and walk...not sure where they expected me to park it! Turned out I was able to go around by college and they were in fact letting traffic through, despite being told 2 minutes before I couldn't. Expect delays in Oakpark.
Needs to be a good proper roofer, its a big job. Have been onto Gleasures but need another quote. Is he a roofer?
I agree it's very strange anyone would resort to a leaflet drop these days when you can't get your hands on a tradesperson too easily!
I have a system for picking someone when I need someone for a job, anyway recent roof job I wanted done led me to PJ Doolen who is recommended regularly on the Tralee DYK FB page, now I didn't actually go with him for the job, didn't do it at all as it happens but I was impressed by his correspondence, his reliability in showing up when he said he would and general professionalism. Had I not decided to scrap the plan totally I would have employed him, might be worth a try!
Any good tradesmen will be busy, and wouldnt have to do leaflet drops, and even if they were in a quiet period, most still wouldnt resort to it.
I would tread carefully tbh.
The kids primary school use them and seem happy enough
Maybe a bit late but I think Radleys next ti Supervalu do that
Has anyone used Ready roofing before? I got a leaflet in door this week & wondering if they are good. Need a job done so might give them a call.
I printed some stuff recently at the Internet cafe just up from Sean Ogs on Bridge St. I think they are open 7 days a week.
Probably not until Monday, I doubt anywhere will be open to do it on a Sunday. Radley's your best bet Monday morning.
Is there anywhere in Tralee where I could print some documents and preferably this weekend.
Has anyone got any kids in Mounthawk who could fill me in on the school.
Trying to make a decision on which school to send my kid to.
Its ok, found out what the sheds are for!
Anyone know what the sheds that have been placed in Boherbee (next to Dom ODonnells) & down Bridge street (outside Caballs) are for? there may be more, but they are the only 2 I saw today. I am assuming its something to do with Christmas, but what?
I read that the company who are opening Spitjack in the small square by the Ashe hotel need to do an archaeological dig at the property!

And when we were talking about O'Donnell's before - not sure what the situation is there, but you'd hope they'd be in a position to re-open by February.
Local hotels and B&B's should do great trade out of it - certainly, you'd imagine the fans from Athlone, Longford, Wexford and Donegal would have to make weekends out of their visits.
Today, Kerry were awarded their licence for the League of Ireland. It's great news and hopefully the people of Kerry can get behind them as its a good boost for the county and Tralee.
You have posted in the Listowel thread also. Please only post in one thread. Thanks. Mod
Setting up a book club in Listowel. If anyone has any interest message the facebook page Fiction Addiction Bookclub Listowel.
Absolutely but to be fair there seems to be a decent amount on over the next few weeks to make up for it.
I personally never really thought about it until it stopped but the parade was 100% funded and organised by CH privately for the benefit of the whole town. I don’t think they got the recognition that they should have for what they brought to the town over the last number of years.
They really deserve some credit for that.
I wasnt trying to be negative, just thought it worth noting that what was an institution in Tralee for many years was gone.
