I think this is the first match I'll willingly sit out. In the 10 minute walk from work to pub it's 2-0 and 3 by the time I sat down with a pint.

Costa Rica didn't lay a glove. I'd fancy Japan to beat them, so I don't think a draw for Germany will be enough against Spain. They'll need to win and on this evidence that will be tough. Should be a great match.
I see Canada's captain, Atiba Hutchinson, plays in midfield and is 40 in February. Fair play to him. He's got his work cut out tonight.

He’s actually the same ref who blew for full time in the 86th minute of an AFCON game earlier in the year.
