Yes, that's precisely what needs to be done. No one has the right to make the life worse for the people living in Ireland just to accommodate migrants and asylum seekers. Until housing, healthcare, childcare and education situation improves dramatically every single migrant that's allowed in should be because there is a need for them to be here and if that need is temporary so should be the visa.

This will effect almost every single citizen of Ireland, from the lifetime doler to the 9-5er to the sparks, chippies and brickies. It’s only the elite who won’t be effected. This is not a class issue, this is a resources one. We cannot import the third world and expect everything to be hunky dory ESPECIALLY since we can look across the EU and see what’s happened to those countries.
There are a lot of people on the left who have adopted a very extreme free market position on this as well.

Which party expressed concerns over O'Gorman's insane 'own door within 4 months' policy which has seen asylum applications absolutely explode in the last 12 months?
Or which party asked questions about McEntee's 'amnesty',?
And no, the National Party doesn't count, there's not a chance I'd vote for a party with their conservative views on same sex marriage, abortion etc.
That's why people are protesting on the streets. There's nowhere else that people with concerns about immigration policy and how it effects their communities can get their voices heard.
