tsujigiri - japanese for 'testing out a new sword on a random passerby'.
She had another one about orphaned negatives - words which have negative meanings but we don't use the positive. E.g. gormless meaning foolish and gormfull meaning sensible.
My favour word is conflicity (edit: it's confelicity. Autocorrect shafted me again) meaning taking pleasure in another's happiness. Its the opposite of schadenfreude.

I'd say that's supposed to be 'confelicity'. Without the 'e', it looks like the opposite, looking for conflict rather than happiness. 😉

I was asked the same question in a creative writing course, I said 'marmalade', simply because when it is handwritten, it just flows, the way marmalade shouldn't actually!! 😊
