Simple yes no poll. Hoping this poll ends pointless bickering on other threads
Or maybe just maybe its only a joke.
Poll results so far are interesting.
Because Ireland and the USA have a particular agreement. I doubt they are sleeping in office buildings.
The right connections of course. The refugee asylum scam is rotten to the core
You against vacant building being repurposed for emergency accommodation?
Not racist.

Basically we should welcome anyone with accommodation etc etc who wants to come here and wouldn’t entertain the idea that even one of the 1000s and 1000s who have arrived could be lying about their status.
Future tribunal of investigation in the making.
Yes for a number of reasons Health and safety for one. Planning laws are not optional either. I can't turn my house into a pub for example.
Brits in tech and finance are purchasing or renting. Earn the money they pocket. Pay tax on ‘earnings’. So contribute back into society here in multiple ways… pay tax on everything they spend.
Irish millennials can’t find homes because of a rising population, a rapidly rising influx of people requesting assistance.. ie requesting accommodation / homes…. In addition they request / demand weekly payments, unlimited healthcare, free travel, and numerous other supports for themselves and families.
Having paid no tax here and never set foot here on our shores, that’s still what they want us to enable them with…
to my mind the protest is not a surprise and there will be more. Because people are starting to get concerned about their future, that of their children who will have now a great fight and struggle for wellbeing and opportunities…
Vacant building for EMERGENCY accommodation?
You say No.
OK.
Why do we have planning laws then ?
oh i don't know.
i would say it's more near racism then simply nimbyism, but either way hopefully they won't be given into.
Why Has MM not called out these racists then ? Currently we have 2 people linked to being racist by some one was a conservative party member.
Didn't dismiss it as "far right". I said that the situation is great fodder for hard-right groups like the National Party to drum up fear (and also panic) and advance their nasty brand of politics. We've seen the UK's lurch to the right and we have seen that the lives of their citizenry have not improved as a result. It's not a template to follow.
My original thought was about how there's not much appetite to look at why these waves of migration are happening in the first place. Somehow I doubt that men from Afghanistan or Iraq or Syria or Nigeria heard that an office landlord got a government contract and decided to undertake a fairly perilous journey.
My humble suggestion is that as global temperatures creep higher, as energy prices increase, and as food and water scarcity increase as a result, we're only going to see more of what we are currently seeing and there will be much blood shed. So if the world isn't willing to tackle those fundamental problems, we're fúcked.
ask him, how would i know why he does or doesn't or hasn't done anything.
i'm not his keeper.
What about the twitter workers. 🤣
So the head of government has seen what way the wind is blowing or actually looked at the people on the ground and saw it was mostly local people with issues ?
They hate the working class Irish and sneer and dismiss them at any given possibility. So that smear is not surprising- they are only dying to use it!
my suspician is that more likely he's just not willing to give a bunch of head the balls any publicity.
direct provision centres are happening, refugees ETC are coming and no amount of protest is going to stop them ultimately.
Nope isn't and wasn't
If it's all so milk and honey and awesome how come they are not putting them in their own constituency how come they're not going into Dublin 4 ?
It's because they don't want them, that's why
But talking about the situation gives the "head the Balls" publicity ? And as for not stopping. The swing change to consultation speaks volumes. FF are not stupid if they are going to lose votes over this they will be all over it like a rash.
the change to consultation is just a stooj to be seen to be placating them.
the reality is there will be AS and refugees going in there whether it be now or down the line.
Ha if they renegue on a consultation you will people out on the streets in droves. Ala Irish water.
So everyone who protested is a knacker? great locgic and choice of words
no some scumbag talking about robbing mattresses from the asylum seekers posted a video, that's who I was referring to
Indeed. Consistency clearly isn’t a strength of his..
Do Sinn Fèin know their own voter base? Said it before but your typical barstool Shinner republican never struck me as open door immigration types. Quite the opposite.
in their droves, no
few hundred scrotes maybe but that's all.
well I never called anyone racist for one
