The personal nature of this one - Arlene Foster was a schoolgirl sitting on a bus bombed by the PIRA - puts the level of depravity and inhumanity at a different level.
A certain number of female supporters of the republican movement are just plain disturbed and that is it. God help what they teach their kids at home!!!
Exactly that is how I feel about it.Two sides of the same warped coin. And engaging with certain posters on here is similar to the frustration journalists have when questioning Russian representatives on RTE. They create a fantasy with euphemisms.
But you can see the ‘tells’ that a poster either works for the SF online apparatus or is an associate, or zealous student of the doctrine.
A lot of it is Gerry Adams-esque - ‘let me answer your question with question’. ‘The politics of condemnation…’ ‘I will not apologise for my republicanism’ ‘I will never disassociate myself from the IRA’. What other normal sane people talk like that? Nevermind politicians
Now, I find when such phrases are used you know that they have lost the argument. They don’t want the mask slipping.
David Cullinane recently did the same. Using the same ‘copy and paste’ Republican phrases and slogans. Same again at the SF Ard Fheis from others.
Is there a SF training centre where they go over old ‘Gerry’ footage where they practice the phrases?
Altogether now boys and girls with feeling ‘I will not apologise for my republicanism’ Referring to fellow members as ‘ comrades’‘ or a ‘ Good Republican’ (Slab Murphy etc) and so on.
Oh and if you can boys and girls don’t forget the non-sequiturs. And don’t forget to accuse ‘The South’ of hypocrisy. Oh and of course never ever use the phrase ‘Northern Ireland’ ‘Republic of Ireland’.
It is ‘down south’ ‘this state’ ‘6 counties’ ‘26 counties’ and if you are feeling brave ‘the occupied 6’ That is all for today class.
SF are going to be our future government and there is going to be a 32 county republic as there always should have been.
the people complaining about SF/IRA and the service they have given to our country and the occupied 6 are likely just increasing support, because people are sick of the hypocracy and lording from the main 2 parties.
enough is enough, it's time for change.
up the 32 county republic.
thankfully SF/IRA will never be able to distance itself from it's past as we will not let it because it's past was a vital chapter in our history and a necessary part of it.
but the people are okay with it, it's the past and they have committed to politics and peace.
republicans will never be sorry for our republicanism, we will and have condemned the killing of civilians as it shouldn't have happened, but the overthrow of the orange state and attempt to expell british rule from our island once and for all was justified.
Ha ha ha....I see what you did there😁
and ye continue to celebrate the murder of gardai too dont forget that
Just as any other organized crime gang would i suppose
we do not celebrate the murder of gardai unless those gardai were engaged in the oppression of irish nationalists south of the border.
so no, we don't celebrate the murder of the likes of garda mccabe for example.
sf are not an organised crime gang but a legitimate political party and the IRA are no more.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
this entire post is a lie and has been proved again and again on this and other threads as such
no it isn't and no it hasn't.
nope wrong again as per usual.
One of the points which disproves the poster is an ongoing case in Dublin which cannot be discussed properly for legal reasons! The Provo-IRA have gone away mo thóin. The structures and contacts are still there.
As for killing gardai the provos have done so in the most cowardly situations kidnapping civilians, which the poster @endoftheroad has previously implied they have sympathy for.
Gary Sheehan, aged 23, - "due to graduate from Templemore in 1984. He was the son of Det Garda Jim Sheehan, stationed not far away in Carrickmacross in Co Monaghan."
-
"Gary Sheehan is remembered by each batch of recruits to pass through Training College in Templemore.
The best all-rounder receives the Gary Sheehan Memorial Medal."
What did cross my mind was if a 'Good Republican' decided to join the Gardai (and did very well) would they accept 'the Gary Sheehan Memorial Medal' ? Would they even know its significance?
Or would a 'Good Republican' never even consider joining the Gardai?
they really hate it when anyone dares to call them out for what they are ,don they,
is there anyone they didn't threaten abuse steal from or kill
Jared Harris: BAFTA winning son of Richard Harris reveals armed guard protection after IRA threat - SundayWorld.com
The funny thing is if such people were more open about Provo’s/SF Warts and all. We are not proud of abc, it was misguided etc but we at least got xyz. I would have more respect for them.
But instead what we get is avoidance and stock Republican phrases. To imply that all Provo Republicanism is right is daft. Certain types of Sinn Fein people, surely has to embarrass and unease the less militant members? And the thing I notice what really unnerves them is when you come in informed with a discussion with a Republican.
Suddenly the stock Republican phrases sound laughable, almost cartoonish in a lot of ways.
I always listen closely if a SF person uses those such phrases. I have met a fair few socially.
Because if you listen to the phrases it tells me the ‘type’ of Republican they are.
SF people who don’t use such phrases are the people who really want to move on.
However, the others among them are like a crate of Semtex which has to be dragged along. And the latter is the type that still occasionally is revered just for nostalgia and to play to the SF/NI - hardcore gallery.
Thankfully there is a different breed, slowly changing. I can’t find the link but Eoin O’Brion sheepishly wrote in the preface of his housing book, about the terminology he was using to describe ‘Ireland’. Where he almost but not fully apologises, for having to do so.
"What is the difference between casement being arrested for gunrunning and Martin Ferris for the same🙂....kinda hilarious your inability to admit they being same in practice and effectiveness"
Ah, thanks for explaining. Ferris and Casement are the same because there were both gun runners. No need to factor in any political, moral or historical context.
By that logic, Ferris and Casements are "the same" as, for example, Noel Little, Major Fred Crawford and Viktor Bout.
Good news. Mary Lou can go ahead and book a holiday in Sochi or the Crimea.
The Russians, knowing who their friends and enemies are, decided that all shinners are still welcome in the motherland.
Curiously enough both run guns for same organisation/cause🤔
I feel your comparisons with Viktor bout are abit facile and perhaps worthy of further examination?,if I'm honest
To be fair, Viktor Bout was a stretch; Crawford and Little not so much.
But, since you mention the "same cause", would Liam and/or Michael Campbell have been "the same" as Ferris and Casement if convicted of gun running from Lithuania.
As regards Casement and Ferris working for the same organisation, the IRA didn't exist in 1916.
Curiously enough I do actually agree with you here about Campbell, and feel shinners blind critism of dissidents/support of psni is utter hyprocrisy....the political alternative of stormont has failed, and efforts to get it up and working are pointless (it's worked well for like 3 of 25 years, time to wind it up),it's pressing on with reunification and/or a border poll prep they should be doing
They haven't held the psni to account and the psni sending soldiers onto streets to help with searches is wrong and unnecessary in this day and age
And in case anyone was wondering why….
Chris MacManus - yet again - hiding away from today’s vote at the EU Parliament. Makes a habit of it lately whenever there’s anything critical of Russia on the agenda
you cant change historical facts by posting lies on the internet blazz as much as you keep trying
its very Stalinist/Putinist thing to try , something sf seem to be going for anyway
Just aswell I'm not then,isn't it🙂
arent you ?,
aw so then you agree that sf of today and sf of 1910 and 20s are entirely different organizations with different goals and tactics.
Same organisation, operating out of same premises.....seems obvious to me anyway, quite why this is a struggle for you,il not ever know 🤷
So the New IRA is the same as the PIRA and the old IRA by that standard. You must be delighted with the fact that they managed to kill Lyra McKee, a journalist who was critical of them.
because its a lie thats been exposed here again and again ,
how do you feel about new ira and all the other little gangs of scum who use the name ? same organization too ?
This.
Its not a crime to fight or kill for Ireland.
It's literally the same fight imo
Where was Lyra McKee critical of em?
You wouldn't be using an innocent victim as a political pawn to slur insults online by any chance🤔
No more than it is Ukrainians to want their country free I guess🙂
Where has the lie been exposed,I seen alot of ranting/different objectives, but little in way of facts🙂
around and around we go again
how about the fact that sf was founded on 17th January 1970 ?
