Round to take place on Dec 11th at Abbotstown. Dublin got the nod over London apparently having been down to host a round in 2020 scuppered by covid.

They might make you book it through a club etc but I know you can book pitches and the arena in the campus so unless they quote insurance reasons etc I can’t see why not

Not much info on the Dublin round yet. Interesting to see what size crowd is expected/what is lined up for the day. Will probably attend
I was at the Athletics cross country course yesterday and there is no obvious cyclo-cross course there, it must be a last minute construction job.
Be a bit early to build it two months in advance in fairness, particularly since the race is being organised by Flanders Classics so would imagine construction and design of the course is their remit as opposed to Sports Ireland
There was talk of a permanent cyclocross circuit in Abbotstown, and that is what I was hoping for. It would be great to have regular races there, it would give the venue more meaning to promote that branch of the sport.

I see Tom Pidcock is back in two weeks, would love to see hi in Dublin. No word MVDP/WVA yet - it is usually early/md December when they start racing so would be great to see them in Dublin

Tickets look to be on sale now. WVA was active last season from early December, VdP I think was coming back from injury this time last year, but fingers crossed they, and Piddock, would be on the line.
Let's not forget the womens event as well. I'd imagine Marianne Vos will be there at least. It doesn't look like Annemiek van Vleuten is doing CX this year unfortunately
Organiser of Hulst Cyclocross World Cup has announced that he expects Pidcock, WVA and MvP to meet for the 1st time this year at that event on Nov 27th. Looks like they'll be active 2 weeks b4 Dublin so just depends if they travel to compete
I was told last season by a Belgian race organiser that MvP only travels to events that pay him an appearance fee . €200k was the figure quoted
Bought 4 tickets there for a family day out. Sure we'll see how that goes! I thought twas on in UCD! 🙄😁
Got mine reserved as well. Anybody know what the story is with bringing kids? It says in the ticket page that under 12s are free, but it's not clear if you need to reserve a place for them, and by extension how to do so. Do you just rock up with them on the day? Considering taking the young lad if he's interested, but will decide nearer the time - probably wouldn't put him out in horizontal sleet for 4 hours!

Also Cycling News are now predicting Dublin as the first clash of the big 3.
Still all just speculation though.
It'll probably use most of the athletics cross country course, it's pretty heavy and muddy at this time of the year and plenty of switch backs and a couple of sections in and around wooded sections and a drag of a hill. Probably stick in a few platforms and so on, not sure how much construction is required.
There is a map hidden in the bottom of the page on the UCI site.
It will start at the schoolboy soccer facility which is also being used by the teams. The CI headquarters will be in the middle of the course and the back half of the course will he the cross country track.
I'm not seeing this on the GCN Racing schedule, their World Cup coverage as currently listed jumps straight from Antwerpen (4 December) to Val di Sole (17 December).
I hope we're not geo-blocked on account of being the 'host' country. 😕

Just as a little update to this:
The Irish round still isn't showing up on my schedule from here in Ireland, so as little experiment, I 'moved' to France for a few minutes and logged in to my GCN+ account from there, and there it was!
So, it DOES appear to be geo-blocked here in Ireland, so thank goodness for cheap flights to the continent! 🙂

Is it being shown on RTE or Virgin I wonder soi they've got the rights? Even if it is, I'd imagine it'll be the elite men's race, possibly the elite women's, but I'd imagine the other races are 'meh' to them. The info here https://www.uci.org/watch-uci-events/74lrepukG4z4gIeSaQxANg would suggest there's a local party involved. It may be that they award the rights to the local broadcaster, who handles the production and gets a kick back from licensing elsewhere via the UCI
