Of course, he could have claimed to the Russians that he only told Ukrainians after he was captured that he wanted to fight on their side, in order to survive, but it was all for show, and he volunteered for prisoner exchange because he wanted to return to Russia as soon as he could. Now that's possible too, but to me it all stinks to high heaven.
Send all the leftie politicians over from Ireland!
Times radio reporting that Putin has this evening requested direct 1 on 1 talks with Zelensky. Pretty obvious timing. Trying to fragment the alliance while everyone’s caught up in a debate about where the rockets came from.
@[Deleted User] "We are not directly in this war and we will not be and we shouldn't be. It is their fight, not ours"
Why not? When it comes to crime, barbarity, mass murder and an illegal war, every civilized person has the right to be involved. If you are walking on the street and see a crime against someone and you have the means to prevent, it you don't say 'Your problem mate' and walk on.
Both sides use S-300s.
If not Ukrainian then maybe accident by Russia. Just easier to blame Ukraine. Can’t imagine Zelensky is lying.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Russian cruise missile that was hit in Ukraine but wasn't destroyed and crashed in Poland
Its a worse one for the Russians, who are the cause of it all, no one is fooled by Putins propaganda machine.
What happened with those missiles that hit Polish grounds is becoming all very odd indeed. It appears to me that it was an accident caused by air defense but why Zelensky is holding his line has me wounderin what's really going on. As I say its all very puzzling.
We are not fighting Russia. We are giving Ukraine the means to do so effectively through logistics, intelligence and equipment (up to a point - nothing that is too substantial that could be used to strike Russia). Do you think we should be doing more? I certainly do not
The only thing that has been pretty much confirmed is it did not come out of russia. That still means russian forces in Ukraine could have fired it. Tinfoil hat on. Could be a sneaky russian tactics sending cruise missiles up that far to skirt Ukraine air defence Only issue is it's risky as we have seen.
Yes Hobgoblin hundreds of them, but it's all overshadowed by one missile fired by Ukraine defending itself against Russian Missiles which landed in Poland and killed two unfortunate Polish people. RIP.
True , It could be just as easily been Ukraine purposely firing a missile into Poland to drag nato into the war under false pretences.
While they are doing well on the battlefield. Nah.
err no. Is this the latest line now from russia ?
No
Its more like Russia firing missiles into Poland and blame Ukraine
Of course, the Russians will make propaganda from it, but no one will be fooled by it. Every death in Ukraine, and now Poland is Vladimir Putins fault, and the whole world knows it. Let Iran, N-Korea and their equals, agree with Russia, and condemn Ukraine, but so what? But one thing is for sure, the very people who would be entitled to blame Zelesky, will be the very last ones to do it, and that's the Poles themselves. They know the real culprit
No it couldn't, unless the Russians have somehow dropped something into the Ukranian leaders' tea that has turned them into drooling idiots overnight...
Have a look at the damage it doesn't add up to me .
The missiles came from Ukraine. The question I have was it an accident or on purpose.
We should do as much as we can. But I would not say it is 'not our' fight. Even moral support counts as our fight.
Lots of Putin and Russia supporters attacking Zelensky on social media this evening, but given the context that his country was hit by 100 cruise missiles yesterday sent by the neighbouring terrorist state (a state they adore), their criticisms run a bit hollow.
There are 2 armies in Ukraine On of them is drunk and pretty bad at aiming.
And that is what many are missing here and elsewhere. But they have their job to do (or not as I suspect with many of them)
I haven't heard of anyone claiming the targeting of the two Polish victims of this missile exploding was deliberate. Do you know something that has not been publicised that makes you think these people were valid targets for such an attack?
Just trying to understand how this question seems to make sense to you.
And I'm telling you it could not have been on purpose unless the Ukranian leadership have lost their minds.
The thing is, there are people in Governments (US, UK EU etc) who see the broader picture of what will happen if Putin succeeds in Ukraine. It won't stop there, Putin will continue to make trouble in the world, and he has to be stopped, and Russia reduced to the stage that it will no longer be able to make war. And if he is not stopped now, then next time (and there will be a next time) having learned lessons from Ukraine he will be much better prepared, and it will be a much bigger war.
They both have something in common.
They are both using 1000s of civilians as military personnel and have both been shown to fire missiles indiscriminately.
Remember Ukraines male travel ban which is still in place?
Too much damage or too little damage?
