My point is that Russia is still stuck in the dubious standards and ethical practices the West moved on from a century ago. Comparing Russia's conscription laws today to the UK's during The Great War and sayin "well, the west was just as bad" isn't a gotcha at all.
I think that the whole point is that while the western world has advanced from this stage in evolution, Russia has not.
I always wanted to visited Pripyat and Chernobyl for years, it’s top of my list but just could never get it out of the planning phase with people and work etc.
We had our eye on flights to Kiev just a week before the invasion! Flights will be cheap I said, he’ll never invade!
Wonder how long it’s going to be before I do actually get my chance…
And unfortunately some of those spots looked like non tourist spots even before the war. Maruipol had big issues with pollution due to the steelworks.

Q. Discuss the migration pattern of Russian forces eastwards. (100marks)
*note map not included due to constant change.
Heavy explosions were reported in Hola Prystan
Kinburn must be under pressure
Well, from Russia you could thumb a lift into Belarus, but getting from there into Ukraine could be tricky.
Zelensky lays out the "peace formula" for ending the war
1. Full withdrawal of all Russian troops
2. Full restoration of Ukraine sovereign terrority
It would, and with the current situation I’d say it’s an idea that will have to be put on the back burner for the time being until the situation improves, unfortunately.
Amazed this was reported on sky news without any fact checking.
massive missile attack on Ukraine in the last hour.
Totally agree. Indeed right back at the beginning of the current phase of this conflict in February I was saying that part of the problem with the West trying to even understand Russia's mentality or logic was that, Russia, especially under Putin, has rolled back to the siege mentality that gave us the tragedy of Stalingrad, and there was no better way to fire up the average Russian than to cite the human sacrifice of the great patriotic war and the threat that came from the west in 1941.
Unfortunately for all the great art and architecture and literature of Russia (I'm currently reading Grossman's Life and Fate which could just be as easily applied to today as to 1942) the vast majority of Russians outside the major urban centres are unfortunately nothing more than boorish downtrodden savages that are easily led and misguided (mind you one could sadly say that about the US too!).
I can imagine why you'd be worried given that you stated outright a few pages back that it was an impossibility that Ukraine would even contemplate looking across the dnipro river anytime soon.
Seems like most news outlets and independent reporters disagree with you. Still confident? Wanna share how you fact checked your claims?
Russian long-distance attacks on civilian infrastructure usually means Ukrainian military success elsewhere.
considering Russia's constant attacks on Power infrastructure across Ukraine, how long until they hit a nuclear plant spreading radiation all over?
Burden of proof is on those making the claims.
I see lots of claims, no proof.
Zelenskyy’s 10-Point Peace Formula
1. Radiation and nuclear security
2. Food security
3. Energy security
4. Release of all POWs and deportees
5. Restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity, respect for UN Charter.
6. Total withdrawal of all Russian troops from all of Ukraine
7. Punishment for war crimes
8. Protection for the environment, stopping Russia's ecocide in Ukraine
9. New security architecture and security guarantees for Ukraine
10. Signing of peace treaty.
Your claim was that it was absolutely out of the question that Ukraine forces would cross the river anytime soon.
So......
I think Hungary is doing its thing as Putin's gremlin inside the EU isn't it? Same job it is working at inside NATO, helping to block Sweden and Finland joining.
This needs unanimity. As far as I understand Hungary is blocking creation of the new structures/mechanisms to provide promised money into next year. I suppose if it keeps up much longer (towards end of year) they may just abandon idea of doing it through more normal/unanimous EU processes.
The EU seems to have just thrown the towel in with trying to create any additional sanctions on Russia (for now). Hungary is blocking this too, and has been succesful it seems.
6 - Rockets /missles reported
Already gave my reasons.
That would come under the heading of a nuclear attack, I think? And trigger appropriate retaliation as has already been well explained to Putin.
Can you post link to attack on Kinburn spit
Cant see anything on any of the maps, even the pro-ua ones (https://liveuamap.com/)
🥊All of Mykolayiv region except Kinburn has been liberated, the OVA said
Wonderful.
Something like this?
The enemy is advancing on the Kinburn spit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - OK "Pivden"
Currently, combat work is ongoing there, Natalya Humenyuk said during the telethon.
💬 The enemy remains there... We continue to advance the enemy. Combat work is currently underway, and if we set the goal of liberating the entire Mykolaiv region, then it will be liberated.
Vitaly Kim also hints: "Kinbourn ⏰👀".
Seems very likely that there is the usual news blackout while brave men and women put their lives on the line.
Partial blackout reported in Moldova, including in Chisinau after Isakcha-Vulcaneshti power line was turned off
Moldova being dragged into the war
Pathetic point scoring and like farming.
8-)
Progress made 8/11 to 11/11.
Those maps are often a day or so behind the events. And in the case of a Ukranian media blackout surrounding their military actions it could be longer still. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7KWkABNn2w You can go to about 1:20 in this video to see the justification for the unconfirmed attack. Even Russia has stated the attack took place but was neutralized : https://tass.com/russia/1536543.
It was reported on Sunday that a sabotage group from the Ukrainian army’s marine center of special operations had been neutralized during a landing attempt near the village of Pokrovskoye in the Kinburn Spit in the Nikolayev Region. Four vessels and up to 20 servicemen were killed.
Which going by past form for Russian news media means that the attack was probably successful. But who knows, I'm not claiming anything one way or another. I'm not going to start digging around for dozens of links. Because honestly I'm not the one making the claim. However......
The difference here is we have another poster, who stated with absolute certainty that Ukraine would not be attempting to cross the Dnipro river any time in the near future. With no other sources or fact checking than their own keystrokes needed. All the while demanding such from the rest of us.
Double standard. Oddly reminiscent of another recently banned poster.
Ah thanks! I reckon i can probably invest my farmed likes into the Rouble. I'll have enough to buy some affleunt real estate in St Petersburg in no time! 😊
