Seems hotel hosting Ireland's resident right wing party has descended into violence today with police being called
IRSP goons trying to become relevant. Brave men attacking an event with women and children present.
The violent left strike again.
Anti- Fascist.
How ironic when they attack a meeting where people are discussing and expressing their views.
Didn't know the Lough Erne Resort had gone that downhill to take that lot.
Didn't do their due diligence before deciding to host that shower. I guess they've run out of places that will host them south of the border.
Don’t worry, like the BLM ones, I’m sure it was a “mostly peaceful” attack
I thought cancel culture wasn't real?
Less of the troll posts, this is the Current Affairs forum, reread the charter if you need
” anti fascist “ or even “ anti racist “ has always just been code for communist , it was thus in the 1930,s and it’s the same now , it’s just marketing but the same totalitarian and anti democracy ideology exists
Sounds like the National Party is full of snowflakes tbh.
Both of them are as bad as each other. Like something out of America where extremists on both sides of the spectrum are attacking each other.
With our current neo-liberal, globalist government in charge I fear only more people are going to flock to extremes of the right and left.
Ireland is in dire need of a sensible, populist centre right party.
I'd say about 2% of the population would vote for a populist centre right party. And about 90% of that 2% post on Boards.
Lol no it hasn't.
You think everyone that fought in WW2 for the Allies or for the XV International Brigade in the Spanish Civil War were communists?
The Allies were literally anti-fascists.
I'd suggest visiting your local library or bookstore.
I don't know some were put into hospital. One ran over thought that was frowned upon. I guess it all depends on who's giving the Extra judicial activities. No support at all for the clowns in the meeting. But they should be allowed to meet as is their right and anyone else's. Seems very Fascist indeed. 🤔
Trouble at the beer hall.
Where have I heard this one before.
IIRC that was internal and not communists at the time.
I’d disagree, but we have no such party so no way to test the hypothesis.
I’ve no interest in starting political parties myself and wouldn’t join any of the current ones because they do not align with my political and economic beliefs. Also I’m too busy working to be attending any AGM’s or to be attacking the ones I disagree with. I do wonder how these people manage to find the time for such shenanigans ? 🤔
Probably both groups the National Party and IRSP have more intelligence assets than actual real members would be my guess.
The National Party have no supporters, they are a fake party. Santa Claus is more real.
It is time the Gardaí clamp down on these far-left extremists. Their hatred of free speech & democracy is really getting out of hand.
Whats your take on Irish Freedom Party?
I’d say the idea of “intelligence assets” infiltrating political parties in Ireland is fairly far fetched. I doubt we have the capacity or budget to be monitoring a few nut cases who want to bring back Magdalene laundries or collectivise farms in Ireland.
I don't know anything about the Irish Freedom Party so I won't comment on them.
It may sound far fetched but this is just what intelligence agencies do. In the US every local rinky-dink KKK gathering, even if they are just a bunch of wafflers who sit around drinking beer by a campfire talking scutter, is heavy with FBI agents. De-classified documents show it time and again.
The budgets are a secret but why would state security be underfunded, for any country?
Anyway given the location of Enniskillen, UK they will have the attention of MI5 - who work with the PSNI and the National Crime Agency to monitor extremists in NI and that is not some guarded secret, they at pains to let people know that they are there watching all the time.
lol totally agree :)
Attacking people because they have political beliefs you don,t like or agree with, surely this is a hate crime.
Do we not remember the outrage over some antifa clown getting hit in the head or the speaker system smashed up. Seems only one extreme is ok.
Maybe, but that’s the modus operandi of facist parties like these. Attack, attack, attack, and roar “paedo” when anyone asks questions.
You may be right, but there’s a real question about how a party with zero public reps can afford to host an event in a very expensive five star resort charging about a grand a night for family accommodation.
Why would Gardai be clamping down on events outside the State?
According to the Belfast telegraph while the conference was underway a minibus of antifa crusty types pulled up and a melee ensued
The people on the minibus were harmed and reports of knives being used.
Part of the description as to the definition of fascism is "forcible suppression of opposition" which is ironic in this case!
And there you have it folks. If you don't like violence you are a snowflake.
The extreme left have just grabbed those words for their own benefit with a helpful media not challenging them. Now they perceive their enemy to be populist national parties, of which we've seen grow across Europe.
Yes, very small here but when you get out of Ireland you can see clearly how things have affected other countries. Ireland about 20-30 years behind in that journey.
