Now tv now available on Google TV app store, including nvidia shield, chromecast, Google on TV and android tvs
Just to note, this seems to be still active, just used it to stack my current offer. Thanks OP!
I can't stack my DID sticks anymore? Won't let me redeem the voucher until the current one expires
Are you redemming the vouchers when there's less than 30 full days from when the current offer expires? I found trying to redeem on one expiring 7th December wouldn't let me do it until 8th of November.
Any new code for cinema please
Try this. Could be expired though.

https://www.premiersports.com/viaplay/viaplay-subscribe Premier Sports is now Viaplay
Expired :(
What could this mean for the Sports Extra sub, like is it just a name change by Premier Sports or might they not be included in the sub along with BT?
What NowTV channels will show the FIFA Wold Cup? Is it worth getting a subscription? I won't have a TV subscription and am looking to stream online. Maybe the BBC iPlayer would be better, as I believe BBC1 and ITV1 are getting the games.
None have the World Cup games live, you will get Sky Sports News showing the goals in news bulletins but nothing else.
You could stream the games in Ireland on RTE Player, this is also installed on the NowTV sticks. BBC and ITV have the UK rights to the games
I don't think the rte player on now has live TV.
But you can watch them on the rte player through a browser and cast to your TV.
Yes you're right, just checked, no live facility even if you use a RTE account it won't let you. I thought it was working a little too good last week when I was watching something that I had missed live. I deleted the version on the stick and re-installed the app to be sure, same result.
These sticks, is there an expiry date that they need to be activated by?
There's a note on the back of the packaging that it must be redeemed within 1 year of purchase but I've no idea how they verify this as there's no activation when purchased. I would say anything purchased now is safe to use until end of 2023.
Is there any way on Now TV to reduce the bit rate in an effort to save data? Watched a PL game yesterday, literally 90 mins as I switched it off at half time to save data but the 90 mins still used 6GB.
My tv is not 4k but was wondering is it broadcasting in 4k by default and that's what's chomping data so fast? Any way to lower it to something like 720p similar to YouTube ?
It's broadcast at 720p as standard, and 1080p if you pay the €5 extra for Boost. Nowtv doesn't offer 4K.
NOWOIJMNUUAW worked tonight for
€3 a month for six months on boost
As @feargantae said, max streaming rate is HD, so 90mins @1080p will only consume about 3GB. Either something else is also using data at the same time or (more likely) your measurement method is not accurate. How are you measuring this?
yeah Im on Boost so it would be 1080p. Its strange that it should be 3GB as I went in to my 48.ie account before the match kicked off and it said I had 16GB of data left. Watched the first half, knocked it off, watched the second half so pretty much 90-95 minutes total use. Then I went back to the 48 site to check data again and it said 10.2GB was left, so 5.8GB used for that 95 minutes or so. My set up is just the stick plugged into the tv with the router supplying the wifi to it. Apart from me browsing the web during a match nothing else is using data, that would just be light web browsing of pages like this, I wouldnt be playing any videos or anything. Any ideas of what is making it so high, if I could fix this all my data problems would go away
Are you tethering your mobile connection? If so it may be the way 48 calculate your data useage. Ive had issued in the past tethering and mobile data calculators being wrong. Suggest you get a data usage app and compare that with 48s usage. If they are quite a bit apart then you will need to take it up with them.
Just get unlimited data, solves that problem
Cant understand limited broadband in 2022
All that watching of limits and data usage, just to save a few euros a month.
Don't understand that at all.
No not tethering, just the sim is in a router and that broadcasts wifi to the Now tv stick in the tv. Will download a data usage app and compare and see what that shows up, thanks for the help
Have saved almost 400 euros this year so its a bit more than a few euros. It'll pay for the new tv Im buying next week so Id prefer that than my money being in Sky or Eirs pocket. I woudnt normally use more than 200GB a month so theres little point in me paying 50-60 a month for an unlimited fibre connection
My unlimited data on mobile costs me 9.99 a month with GoMo, for life. I also have unlimited satellite broadband data with Starlink - now that's a luxury at 85 euro a month but I need high quality reliable internet for work and Eir around here is 2-5mb max. Couldnt be watching data limits, how 2005!
If it wasnt for that, I'd be perfectly able to manage by tethering/hotspotting my phone.
Still works! 2 months for 15 bargin!
Seen a load of sticks with Sports in Limerick yesterday in Harvey Norman and Currys for €15 still.
Also if buy in Currys this month get 6 months Apple TV+ for free, so double bargain 😁
About time, but it still can't be watched on Chromebook, either via an app or browser. Immensely frustrating
That's great, I was looking for an Entertainment deal. Purchased!
