Smokers. Really some of them have no sense of respect at all.

So I was on the bus this morning nice and comfy and what happens but a filty dirty smoker sits in front of me. He smelt of a thousand fags. Absolutely disgusting. Thankfully he was not going too far but it still interfered with my clean air.

Next time I will spray some deodorant see how they like it.

Also people who smoke them electronic cigarettes. Do they not worry how they are fecking up there bodies?

I'd rather a prole on the bus smelt of cigs than BO.

Smoking is a personal choice. I haven't done it since I was 23, but I really, really enjoyed it, because its really, really enjoyable.

However, it comes with personal consequences and nobody alive can say they don't know what they are. It's why private medical insurance becomes prohibitive if you continue to smoke and why the insurers won't cover your bill if you get a smoking related illness and have lied to them about it.

There was a fella I went to college with and even if he had long fecked off you could tell he was around earlier in the day because the room still stank of fags. He wasn't smoking in the rooms themselves but the smell from him was that strong. I cant remember his name, wonder is he still alive

I recently had to travel on a bus across the country to the airport in Dublin. And unfortunately I sat next to a, ahm, lady (?) with pretty much every fake thing you can put in your face or on your nails. That in itself was offensive to my senses :D but hey ho, none of my business what she does with her body.

BUT and here comes a big BUT - she must've doused herself in parfume, it made my eyes water, constricted my airways and made me gag. Seriously, LADIES!! Less is way more! It permeated ever pore of my body and, like randy billy goat smell, clung to my clothes and hair for HOURS afterwards. Those country mice among you who have ever encountered a billygoat will know exactly what I mean.

Give me fag smell every day and I don't even smoke. At least that smell isn't trying to kill me slowly...

Oh believe me I was mobile for a while untill a Garda said otherwise :( . Iam working on it now but due to only having 50 per cent sight I could never drive a big car or drive on a motorway.

It's stupid all I want is to drive in my town and to my parents but yet I still have to know signs I will never see like the blue ones with the bus on one side and the bike with the broken line before them or the motorway signs or the toll signs lol.

There should be a road test for people who have or never will drive on a motorway or in a city like me for instance.

I worked in pubs and restaurants before the smoking ban and always came out smelling of cigarettes.

After the ban came in, my parfum de jour changed to burger meat.

I know of many a busy pub that stank like piss after the smoking ban.

My point being, there's a lot of bad smells in life so just get over it without having to ban or cancel everything.

Seriously, if you can't familiarise yourself with a couple of blue signs to the point of getting yourself through a theory test and the couple of theory questions at the start of the driving test, then maybe driving is not for you, it really doesn't matter where you're going to drive.

As for 'mobile for a while', if this was on the electric moped that you wanted to ride on the footpath, sorry you were just asking for a friend, well it's no harm the Garda set you straight. If you were using that thing in a public place without licence / tax / insurance, don't presume that you won't be receiving a summons in the post just because the garda didn't mention it at the time.

Guinness Farts.........I was in a place not too long after the ban came in and I would have welcomed the sweet masking aroma of smoke to cover the cloying overpowering smell of intestinal putridity and decaying despair my olfactory organs were assaulted with...

Thankfully people seem more aware now and put a cork in it.......or Guinness have put in some sort of neutralising additive, it's a very particular smell, it's not the same as if a bunch of lads have had a feed of smithwicks or Murphys for instance.....
