The vapourflys definitely had a couple more sizes when I first posted. I've noticed a few sizes popping back in so keep an eye.
Bought a pair of Asics gel Cumulus in the sale combined with a few of the vouchers built up from parkruns, you get €5 off for every 4 parkruns, so was good value in the end.
Did something similar myself, bought a 2nd pair of the NB Hierro V6, best fitting shoe for me possibly ever and amazing cushion. €70 and sliced 15 off with the VHI discount.

Might be of use to someone. You can get the Puma Velocity Nitro 2 shoes at JD Sports for €70 here. At the time of writing, still some choice of sizes and two colours (admittedly, less than what they were at earlier in the week when I picked up my pair at last). Options as well to stack with 10% off (or 20% if you know someone with a student account).
Personally got my own pair for €56 with a 20% code to finally get my opportunity to get a pair of these after previously getting a pair half a size too large.
7x Solar was on Amazon for £619, had it in the basket and was checking out but then hhhmmeed and hahhed for two hours and it was gone back up to £900.
Next time I'll just pull the trigger.

Really tempted by these the only Nike super shoe I've never tried. However, I counted 12 boxes of unused running shoes today. So I'd need to weigh up the risk of death before buying.

Is there any substantial difference between the regular ones and 'Ekiden' version....looks to be just minor superficial stuff

Didn't order last night for some inexplicable reason....logged in just now and the cheaper ones were gone in my size but they still had the slightly snazzier Ekiden version for €155 so ordered them instead.
Checked my order history there and my previous pair were €192 so hard to ignore that price
I ordered a pair of the Ekiden too. 155 ain't bad if they're kosher. I love the colour descriptions: University Gold! WTF.
They must be feeding the Nike design team a potent mix of Guinness and magic mushrooms to come up with the colorway descriptions.
It's a nice looking runner to be fair....if I'm spending that much on a shoe I'll admit I don't mind if it looks a bit flashy 😎

I tried a pair on in Kildare Village recently and found them to be very stiff/rigid
I use mine for easy runs mainly & for my 1k & 2k EIM reps. I would never have felt they were stiff/rigid. I had 2 pairs of the 1st version & found them to be more of a squishy runner. I think they changed a few things for the 2nd version which added a bit more stability to them & they were a little less squishy(which I think was a good thing) than the 1st. I suppose it comes down to personal choice.
