Spectrum Next still commanding decent money. There's one for sale on the Facebook group for 500 euro.
mine finally arrived 39 months after ordering
Well packaged but haven't tried it out yet
Enjoy, I've got a lot of fun out of mine just tinkering with it. I'm envious all the people getting their KS2 Nexts. I couldn't really justify a 2nd one though.
Mine arrived this morning which was a nice Christmas present :) My son looked at me like I have 10 heads when I tried to explain it to him. I see someone in Ireland is looking for crazy money on ebay already, dreaming.
That's just a ridiculous price, one did sold for 650 last week and even thats stupid money for it. I'm probably going to sell mine on but its hard to figure out a price thats not a total gouger and still not attract flippers
I'd stick it on at starting price of whatever it cost you plus a hundred quid profit and see where it ends up. Wouldn't worry about being seen as a gouger, if you backed it you helped people who actually want one get it, with stretch goals etc. so I'd feel no guilt about profiteering.
Ah feck it, decided to keep it and get stuck in instead.
Where's a good place to get Next specific software for it ?
Itch.io has quite a few, the official site has a software page but it's a bit out of date I think.
There's going to be something on latest Distro that allows you to download next stuff directly to your Next too.
To add to above, if you have WiFi enabled Next you can download Next software directly now with the getit program.

So it's getting a third (and probably final) Kickstarter next month for anyone who's left wanting a Next. I can't see there being too much demand this time around but I hope I'm wrong.
In other Next news, as well as sprucing up the QL core, it's going to get an official fully licensed C64 core as well which as a diehard Sinclair fan I should be blowing raspberries at :pac: , but in reality it's great news.
KS3 due in July 19th for anyone looking to get one (or a second one), as mentioned above will be supplied with C64 core and talks of an Amiga core using Pi addon ?
Solid numbers for that 3rd issue. 290k goal for a month, passed 800k after a couple hours. Offering an upgrade path for previous Next users, albeit over 200 euro, so might be a limited enough take-up, with most people after fresh units, but good to see solid support.
Officially get BBC core too apparently. Having BBC, C64 and QL easy to access will be handy. Haven't heard about the Amiga core, even with the pi probably only a runner with issue 2 and upcoming 3? With their more capable FPGA chip.
Deathchase Next on the way, Sam Coupe core within reach
