are You or have you been in the military….USA even…or are you merely an arm chair 🪑 military buff obsessed with weaponry and war? In any case you have just confused me further with your expertise/knowledge …..it’s way above what the average ‘joe soap’ would have
Oh my.
thank you for your service, service member
The original reference was to the possibility of destruction of concrete pillboxes by use of a type of ammunition I mistakenly did not believe to have been in service.
I know the theory, but until (apparently) recently, the US Army position was to take the discretion away from the troop and simply not issue ammunition which might be legal against some targets but not against others. Note that this round was developed by the Navy, hence the "Mark 211" designation, they don't shoot at troops very often. As a result, whatever weapon or ammo you had to hand that the Army gave you, you could shoot it at whatever enemy target was in front of you. Two cases from the Iraq war which brought this principle to more public awareness were the use of white phosphorous ammunition against troops (ugly, but lawful), and the temporary banning by an army lawyer of the use of open-point ammunition (mistakenly confusing it for hollow-point ammunition).
No, this was Trump's doing.
I'm not sure that retreating and fleeing Kherson are the same thing.
Ukrainian soldier sneaks up on a tank-
And those two are in the vanguard.
500 Wagner convicts killed in the last two months.
Presumably many of them killed in the suicidal attacks on Bakhmut.
UK MOD saying Orc troops fleeing Kherson, Orc leadership trying to force them to stay by shooting them.
They were the only ones who put up a fight,,,,,,but the tribal / clan system beat them. If Putin can motivate them, they will cause problems. The question is will they be motivated, or just there for the money? Bear in mind that their fathers probably fought the Russians and helped drive them out of Afghanistan. So will be interesting to see how it will work out. But one thing for sure, these guys are no joke. They were the cream de la cream if they made it to Afghan special force's and trained by the US special forces.
Explain please
That isn't his account, that is @eIonmusk, the Twitter formatting has I and l identical.
If the money is helping Ukrainians to escape the death camps and mass, murder I don't have any scruples about where the metal came from. Maybe if they used a Ukrainian tank it would give a different message.
Guess Eion Musk pissed off the wrong people.
Apologies for off-topic. Now back to our regular programme.
There's plenty of these sites where you can pay and the money goes to help the war effort. Sometimes literally, such as on..
Slightly off topic but I guess he fired the wrong person
FYI, That’s not Musk’s account that was suspended. The second letter in the “Elon” title is a capital i, not a lowercase L.
They ran over a colonel with a tank.

Looks like Putin wants Ukraine to pay for Kherson city with blood.
https://www.janes.com/defence-news/news-detail/ukraine-conflict-general-atomics-committed-to-providing-mq-9-uavs-to-ukraine
🇺🇦 General Atomics intends to provide Ukraine with its MQ-9 family of drones
The MQ-9 is being considered as part of broader support for partners in Eastern Europe
That is some serious news.
I reckon Daly and Wallace could read that whole article and still believe that this is an American led NATO mission.....
There's a lot of idiots in the world.
That was a tough read. It's good that they have evidence although it's unlikely that any of the perpetrators will be held to justice.
The worst thing about it is the thought that things like this could well have, and probably did, occur in every major settlement that fell under Russian occupation. God only knows what stories will come out of Kherson and Mariupol when they are finally liberated.
Unfortunately I suspect that the very people who need to read something like this will never do so. It's easier to play the edgy contrarian when you don't need to actually think about what you are implicitly supporting.
I'd be all in favour of just sending them the money for nothing in return.
Just a promise that they feed the troops and shoot some Russians.
In no context do I see any value, financial or moral, in souvenirs.
Buying a piece of a non operational armored vehicle to support a just cause is indecent in the same way as raping civilians?
You've actually lost grip of reality, sorry.
I sent Ukraine some money to buy bullets or other weapons with and I would take exception if you were to level some similar negative accusations at me for doing so.
Those dog tags made from a tank are just a way to raise money for the best cause on the planet right now. Nothing ghoulish about them at all.
There are current fundraisers for a surveilance drone, thermal imager, strike drones... and not one of them is intended for anything other than to help kill Orcs. They are even auctioning off a AT-4 launch tube that was used to fire a missile that take out a tank.
I support giving Ukraine any weapons, fuel, ammo, food and medical supplies they need.
I actually advocate giving them the big guided missiles and advanced anti-air systems and also using NATO fighters to close the airspace. I'd have sunk the Black Sea fleet by now and destroyed both spans of the Kerch bridge entirely and probably helped Ukraine to destroy Belgorod.
I think any Russian troops who wear civilian clothes to try and evade attack and who employ human shields should be put up against the wall.
But thats all fair in War, especially a War not of Ukraine's making.
Trophies and momentos of War however, are all indecent. And they reduce the dignity of anyone who would take them. Just the same as desecrating enemy dead or abusing prisoners or raping civilians is.
To win a War, really win one, you need to prevail without employing the behaviour of an inhumane enemy. Or else whats the point?
Often tanks don't immediately explode in a ball of flames the second they're hit. So your pathetic babbling about these poor ickle imaginary Russians that died in the making of a few dog tags is absurd.
Presumably then you also don't support the giving of military aid by the Western World to Ukraine then? Think of all those poor unfortunate Russian invaders that have been feeling the heat of Western weapons😭. The Ukranian nation would've been rolled over without NATO support. Their population subjected to genocidal brutality. But no no giving them support by buying a memento is indecent. Spare me 🙄.
There is no moral equivalence to be made. Once side is right and one is wrong in this conflict and that's as simple as it gets.
I'll buy one of these dog tags and hope that my money finds its way to the barrel of an NLAW or Javelin. And ill sleep like a fuckin baby. Thanks.
They could have refused, they could have run away, they could have surrendered..but no they were on a murderous rampage in their tank out to slaughter innocents, no pity whatsoever.
Fcuk them
Yeah theres just as much a chance that they ran away.
Except wait, the Ukrainians didn't blow up abandoned tanks they reflagged them and put them into service.
I'm quite sure these Russian tank regiments killed hundreds, if not thousands of Ukrainian servicemen and civilians, illegally and horrifically, but this isn't about moral equivalence, its about decency, which third parties offered these trophies have the right to choose.
And buying them is indecent.
They need to turn their guns away from the Ukrainians and on their own political masters.
You're quite right, they were ordered to Ukraine, by a madman. And how many reports did we hear early in the War of the shock they got when the Ukrainians didn't welcome them with open arms, just like kindly Uncle Vlad said they would.
And just like the cannon fodder in any War, they died pissing themselves, screaming for their mothers.
The Geneva Convention seeks to give a bit of dignity in awfulness. Try giving them the same.
But Vodka death rate still probably highest of the lot, taking into account both road traffic accidents and health issues.
