I too laughed hard at duvet's duvet post, as did wifey. Sitting listening to the wind here, bizarrely patches of blue sky and sun between the clouds scudding along.

That's always annoying when that happens. Can you swing by Currys or some other phone shop? They do have SIM card adapters that can make for example a nano SIM fit into a micro SIM slot. Here's one I just found at Currys:

Homeside here feeling pretty damn tired. Was woken up at around 3 AM by some of the loudest thunder I've heard since moving to Ireland. Couldn't really fall asleep after that, what with the wind rain and even occasional hail down here.

This one is a star. He knows where the cats are when and still manages to greet me with a song when I emerge. We have no real trees so he perches atop a large bush whose branches will not support a cat,
We have learned the art of co-existence here...
That gable wall was built by hand around 150 years ago, like the house it is the stable end for. All ruinous now. Can you imagine doing that by hand?
