10 bags of decluttered clothes off to the charity shop π± need to implement a one in, two out rule next time I buy clothes!!
I have stuff I should throw out but never anything I could donate, I wear everything to death!
The clothes banks in supermarket car parks take clothes that are worn to death.
Booked Friday off as soon as I came in today π
Iβve another few bags of those too!
Going to take next Monday off. One advantage of having unpredictable family situation βΉοΈ is that I can't take long breaks anywhere so I've a few holidays to take before end of year.
Working away here in the home office, marking student assignments and dissertation proposals.
Mid-term break so no lectures to give this week. π
Haha. Won't be all fun and games though. A lot of work to be done on this fellowship plus need to do my own job and will be living in a house with 12 women. What have I done!!!!
On the bus to Dublin now. Then flight at 7.15 am tomorrow.
Keeping my fingers crossed for your fellowship, witchie. Make sure to find some time for fun between all that work. Oh, and keep us Boardsies apprised of all the salacious details! π
Cafeside here, the first time since I was discharged from hospital. Stocked up on a truckload of coffee pods in the city and got some essentials (such as stroopwaffels π) at Lidl in town. Felt good to get out again.
Afternoon boardsies. I haven't posted for a while. Thank you all for your lovely kind wishes after my sister passed away.
I am trying to catch up on news of Fellowships (Witchie!!), post-hospital outings ((hugs Thomil)) and the general surviving of life. I was in Woodies yesterday buying a new toilet seat (the glamour) and Christmas had effectively arrived. Still though β¬600 for a fake Christmas tree....
Onwards and upwards
Feeling 10 tonnes lighter after getting rid of those bags of clothes. Also dropped a dutifully neglected cat tree in to the local cat rescue too, can see the floor in the spare room now! Plus I resisted the temptation to come home with all the kitties⦠and some of the doggies too but it was hard
Too much love to give.
And not enough time or space.
Time for 2 hours of carers meeting.
Switch work laptop to personal laptop.
Wasn't technology supposed to set us free ?
Safe journey and may all go well..
On the couch at last ....Had beef bourguignon and buttery creamy mash for dinner.......chicks wolfed it ....im in the good books with them for the evening π
Jeez gifted at this rate weβll all be moving in with you to be fed ππππ
Ah it could have turned out shite, the 3/4 of a bottle of red wine helped it i think π€£π€£π€£π€£
Make a Batch of sausage rolls and they wonβt notice ππ now for me you can bake me a lovely Madeira cake π°
And how much of that actually ended up in the food? π€ππ·
Don't forget a photo of dishes the next time.
@gifted Your post got me thinking about lovely beef bourguignon and so I went to look for my slow cooker. I turned the place upside down and can't find it. I need @Poochie05 to come and sort me out...
Had dinner out in Dublin after Mrs G's breast check appointment. I have the munchies now after a beer. So it's salt and chilli chicken skewers and maybe some french fries too!
Luckily I could move some stuff around and do some , ahem jobs for the 12 women while youβre at work π«π«
That's the spirit. Love it. Good for you. Enjoy!
@Grandeeod Hope all was well with Mrs Gβs breast check. ππ
Vegging on the sofa here, watching nothing in particular on the telly and planning on hitting the sack by 1.00am. π΄ π
Those exciting early weeknights... ππ
Am I the only one who can relate to this?
The storm just arrived.
Wide awake, unreal wind and rain, need an ark to get to work.
Cant sleep either, on couch watching some shite....
I just had a coffee and back in leaba, waiting for alarm to go off.
