They did. They claimed that there were biolabs designed to only kill Russians.
Then it became Nazis in Ukraine.
Now it's Satanists and LGBT they're fighting against.
Who blew up Nordstream
Well that might have been rather embarrassing as Ukraine gave all its nuclear weapons along with cruise missiles etc to Russia after independence with the understanding that Russia/CIS would protect them from outside aggression.
The idea that the US and Russia are in any way comparable is laughable IMO. Don't recall too many people trying to emigrate to Russia/USSR and they having to patrol their borders to keep people out.Kinda the opposite really.
It is to be fervently hoped that the Russian military get kicked back across the border to sh1thole they belong, as soon as possible.
Since the likelihood of bringing the Russian murderers to justice for crimes against humanity and war crimes, it is also to be hoped that the Ukrainian military inflicts devastating casualties on them.
So just skip straight the appeasement phase and directly reward Russia for invading Ukraine. Keep sending money to Putin to kill Europeans. Open up the world's market so he can build more cruise missiles. Sacrifice a democratic European country that's soaked in blood keeping Putin away from the rest of us because it's of "no strategic" importance.
Fantastic solution.
Give in to bully.
Rinse and repeat.
Rely on bully until fairy tale green energy happens.
Im all right Jack.
Any chance you might tell us where is of strategic importance to Ireland ? USA ? Saudi ? Australia ?Upper Volta ? Burkina Faso ?
Pure Russian propaganda with zero proof and all conjecter. Even the claim of knowing what a text message was, means this was written by someone who claims to have access to the russian hackers.
If Russia claims it makes no sense for Russia to blow up the pipelines then that means Russia blew up the pipelines. It's how they work.
I bet Greysides is getting paid by the word on here.
Whether people are trying to get in or out has nothing to do with the comparison being made.
It's ok for the us to supply terrorists, cause instability, force government change even invade another country if it wants.
It's not ok for anyone else to do similar unless it's ok with the US. Then it's fine.
That's the rules based order in a nutshell...
You spent too much time reading western propaganda and you are so engrossed you don't even realise it is propaganda.
Sounds legit.
must be from russian embassy, believe your own b,,,,,,t
Or maybe it's too difficult to believe that the Russian army really is pure evil in it's ways.
Launching missiles targeting civilians, rape, torture, castrations, could go on. Even footage emerged of Russian soldiers raping a girl. First of course they kicked her teeth in. The UN is taking account of the war crimes. But of course it's western propaganda.
They hardly blew them up themselves and it wasn't so called traditional terrorists as they wouldn't even know where the line is to pin point it. It was a country with the know how but which one though is hard to call. I'd tend to agree with the Russians claiming it was the brits.
These are almost child-like views of the world. Countries aren't "people", history isn't divided into good/bad.
Putin, who is the sole decision-maker in Russia, has decided to invade Ukraine to reabsorb it into Russia, to conquer the territory and force Ukrainian children to learn Russian. If whoever is the UK prime minister currently, or the German number one or Meloni from Italy want to criticise it, they can. They aren't "hypocrites" because some previous leader from a previous time-zone did something "bad or different".
Your views are eerily similar to the types of low-brow propaganda that Putin constantly puts out.
Billionaire banker Oleg Tinkov renounces his Russian citizenship and has condemned "Putin's fascism".
Amazing really when a russian identifies Putin's regime and propaganda as fascism.
You live in a free, peaceful, safe, democratic country and you derive all the benefits of freedom, rights, free speech, protests
Yet here you are backing an authoritarian dictatorship to the hilt in every post, mindlessly regurgitating it's talking points. A regime where the free press is criminalised, opposition eliminated, troll factories pump out disinformation, state TV regularly calls for the nuking and invading of European countries, their helicopters have "onwards to Berlin" written on them, bombing and slaughtering their neighbours
You do realise that the Kremlin will actually pay you to write what you write, that if you had any credentials they would trip over themselves to fly you over there and put you on Russia Today..
You'd be there by now if you were going to go. Does it bother you that Putin is wrecking the country or have you any connections there
Jeez was away for a few days and only catching up now. The bots in the Russian embassy have being busy. Must have got tired of being found out in the main Russia thread.
The vikings went further east than west, went as far as constanople
There is no repair of the Nordstream possible. After the residual gas leaked out the seawater went in. Rust on the inside now renders it useless.
Not that I would agree with taking any gas off Russia until Putin and his cohort are gone
You made an irrelevant point and I responded with what you perceive as an irrelevant point.
History is more nuanced than many people believe but in the long run the US has been a force for good more times than not ,especially compared to Soviet Union/CIS/Russia.
Somewhat of a difference both sides of the Iron Curtain from 1945 to 1990.One half of Europe (lets not forget Japan ) got Marshall aid and a ally prepared to defend them .The other half got the Stasi ,Prague spring and the Hungarian uprising.Once they could remove the Soviet boot from their necks they grasped it with both hands.Putin is just the latest in a long line of autocratic empire building Russian leaders stretching back a few centuries.
The most recent countries to depart the Russian sphere, the Baltic States, seem really keen not to return. That says a lot to me.
Saw reports of a russian who ran to Kazakhstan telling the locals their country belonged to russia, that it was only a matter of time before they'd take it back.
Mighty big talk from a draft dodger I thought.
Empty vessels and all that
Fmr. US Amb. to russia 😂
It wasn’t the Brits https://www.newsweek.com/video-biden-saying-end-nord-stream-resurfaces-after-pipeline-leak-1747005
“US has been a force for good more times than not”. What about the military misadventures in Vietnam, Latin America, Afghanistan, Libya.
They left 7 billion worth of gear behind them in Afghanistan.
The Russian invasion is reprehensible but let’s not be kidding ourselves about the yanks.
Absolute copybook whataboutery.
Vietnam was a disaster from a military perspective but it did slow the advancement of communism. And of course whats never mentioned in Ireland is the fact that is was escalated by one of the holy trinity of Irish mythology (JFK).
Latin America wasn't one of their finest hours yes but Afghanistan was necessary. Not too hung up on Libya.
Now compare those wee bits to what they provided to Europe, Japan, South Korea etc since 1945.Who pays for the nuclear umbrella that has kept Soviet tanks behind the Iron Curtain from 1945 till 1990.
Think the words I used were "more often than not"
I am of the opinion Irish and European safety is more important than the Yanks bombing some 3rd world s***hole.Perhaps that makes me a racist or selfish or something something but thats my take on it.
I am of the opinion Irish and European safety is more important than the Yanks bombing some 3rd world s***hole
In the words of Ryan Tubridy when talking about Ukraine and how tragic the situation was, "they look like us"!
Good to know the motivation for the faux sympathy for the Ukraine is centered around the fear that Putin may come after you. I wonder is that the motivation for most on here?
