Only just. I wonder had they been the same price the whole time, would it make any difference. For a family car, the MY makes a bit more sense. The dent in range isn't small though.

Seriously though, it's great to have the choice in Ireland at this level, particularly given that the Model Y is more expensive in most other countries (including UK).

Nearly new model 3 prices down 5k in Germany, so this is bound to happen here soon as well, as supply ramps up and as other brands improve supply of newer product.
Part of this is probably tied to the CEO's widely publicised support for Putin and Xi, as well as his treatment of twitter staff following his acquisition of the company. I don't think the board of Mercedes would like Ola to be spending most of his time on site projects and pumping 4 year old product.
There was always going to be a dip in nearly new prices as new supply becomes available. My comment was about new prices however regarding parity between MY & M3.
I doubt the pricing has anything to do with the "CEO's widely publicised for Putin and Xi" considering he's royally pi$$ed off one of them by supplying broadband to Ukraine. As for treatment of twitter staff; hasn't he literally just taken over? Any survivors will at least have some work experience, because beforehand it seemed all they did was block and ban conservative tweets/tweeters and spend the rest of their time like they were still in university studying for their social sciences and gender studies degrees.
There are plenty of right wingers on twitter, and you need to familiarise yourself with some of his recent tweets since friday; also he is firing staff before their stock vests next week - nothing to do with M3 or MY but I both will be viewed like the Prius within 5 years
On the Twitter staff thing, massive playouts were given. I don't think any of them are complaining, one guy got 25.4m dollars!
I'm not on twitter (thankfully) but see regular snapshots and all are lefty nonsense from the likes of our justice minister and co. I couldn't care less about the twitter staff getting their marching orders....long overdue for most i'm sure. If the company is to be profitable, you need to cut the waste and it sounds like that is exactly what the new CEO is doing.

I will say I never had a desire to drive a Prius. Great for taxi drivers looking to reduce their fuel spend, but not so much anymore.

But the following did pop up that they should still be getting the funds unless they broke the law or company policy, in which case then it was a good move.

we are talking about the CEO of the car company spending all of his time (for the last 6 months) on extra-curricular activities, which i think is unacceptable for the CEO of any car company. Even the fact that that last robotic investor day had investors falling off their chairs laughing at the charlatan. I think this is all going to go tits up, but the fanboys can believe whatever they want.

But that's the point, the CEO is not spending any time ensuring that the cars are the best they can be and so many broken promises around newer model and 4680 batteries, leaving aside the nonsense about sucking up to Putin.

Has anybody lost an 18” Aero Wheel cover yet?
I came back from the airport early this morning, drove 200kms, drove another 60kms today and then noticed that I had a wheel cover missing.
Had sentry off as I was parked at airport and would have had too much drain.
What is more likely: stolen (why just 1) or fell off (did not hit any potholes or any of the usual suspects for losing a wheel cover)?
I will just remove the other 3 for the moment while I wait for a replacement…

Has anyone ever reserved a number plate for a tesla before? How does it work? Thought it would be a nice present for the wife to have her favourite number on the plate?

I read recently (might have been on the FB Group) that the registration process messed around with teslas internal system and they have major problems trying to register using the pre reg system.
I would make the call to Tesla sales before booking the number to make sure they are set up better now.
