A number of things have been stated that Putin did not include in his calculations when deciding to invade Ukr. The following has not been highlighted as another aspect that he did not think about ie. The possibility of even a very small % of his army, navy and airforce - from inside- doing things in favour of Ukr eg sharing intelligence with Ukr, putting sand into fuel tanks ,placing bombs ,etc, etc, etc, etc.
they could act as such for the following reasons :-—
-they could have deep family/ friends connections in Ukr and would have a lot of empathy towards that end
And is it the case that a number of Irish who fought with the Uk various wars switched sides especially when it came to Irish /UK conflict early in the 20th centuary

Hopefully Ukraine's advanced society will have DNA records for many of it's citizens. I honestly believe that mandatory blood testing must be imposed on Russia in cases of doubt.
Isn't it traditionally the Red Cross that attempts to track movement and later repatriate people? Can they handle this situation or should a replica organisation be set up to deal with the Ukrainian situation alone?
In years to come there may be call centres, encouraging Russia "citizens" unsure of their heritage to make contact.
The damage that Putin has caused to the psyche of countless people is approaching infinite in that there will be no end to the repercussions.

The Red Cross have come dangerously close to, if not crossed the line of, facilitating the abduction of Ukrainian children. The various international agencies have shown their shortcomings in this war - and I have sympathy for the predicament the Red Cross find themselves in, but providing aid and support to the relocation centres is ultimately the greater crime.

The Red Cross run a continually updated data base for the missing. Once its reported, a file is created, and that person is tracked as much as its possible, and the file is never forgotten. It's one of the major undertakings of the Red Cross and runs across continents and Countries.

A lot of “sarcastic” cope going on in this thread the past few days. I don’t know how you can all bury your heads in the sand and refuse the calls to bring Ukraine to the negotiating table. The West is slowly but surely tiring of its support for Ukraine. I’ll admit those of us seeking peace are in the minority for the moment, but Ukraine has to get ahead of the curve while it still has something resembling a winning hand.
So you think a negotiating with a regime while they are raping, kidnapping and murdering Ukraines children, women and men is a good idea…all while Russia is now on the back foot and have started losing the terrorist campaign they started. How do you justify support of such vile actions in your head?
