I've heard the trusses are dodgy, the roof might fall in on top of you.
Now that i love,Would be a great place to escape from the crap world we live in for a while.
Just catching up on the thread here. Another one here thinking the delph is a bit strange.
But its I guess its somewhere to place your morning starter...
I like this one but the lime green would have to go
I would need to get rid of more than the lime green to live in that house! The decor is equally awful in every room.
Whoever lives there loves clashing colours and using the paint brush.
I'd be getting rid of all the ice-blue first - it's making me cold just looking at the pictures!
From the very first picture, it's all just so goddam busy and that's before looking at any of the pictures of the inside.
I’m guessing this got flooded, along with other issues
This estate got badly flooded back around 10 years ago

I'm guessing there's a 0 missing in the AMV
That’s what caught my eye, something I can nearly afford 😂
those bidx ads often have stupidly low AMVs
This one is, um, interesting!

They always do that to get people to sign up. Is bidx1 not the one where you have to pay them a non refundable 5k just to be able to bid?
You get your deposit of 5k back. However there is a 200 euro bidding fee. That house has surprisingly low AMV. However there is flood damage and you have to refurbish. It may be a bank sale.
195k would be a high AMV if there was a nought missing.
Very few vendors would allow an AMV that low to stand. Remember if it reaches the AMV it's on the market.
Just watching this now..... and my stress levels are going through the roof!
Even though I know how the original programme ends, I'd forgotten the epic levels of delusion - and the slightly panicked look on his (ex-)wife's face in every shot.
And I'd also forgotten how seeing the kids go from children to teenagers to young women illustrates just how long it all went on for - how he didn't have a heart attack along the way is beyond me!
God, he's aged a lot! (even allowing for the fact that the whole thing took 11 years)
One thing that caught my eye, though, was the main bedroom in the tower.... spectacular..... but it looked like if you were lying in the bed, you couldn't see out the windows - that would be beyond frustrating!!
The house is fairly (very) epic though!
And the pool in the final Kevin scene.... north / east facing, wind whipped.... didn't exactly sell it as a luxury hangout!! Looked marginally better when they were jumping in...
I hope it sells for him.
But what a depressing programme.
Where do the other two little pigs live?
It's on the outskirts of a nice village and a couple of hundred meters from the motorway, needs updating but should sell. I remember years ago before the motorway was built, a car went out of control and ended up buried in the front wall of the house, must be early 80's or thereabouts.
First thought when I saw that house, so close to a main road, was that I would have a row of reinforced concrete pillars across the front to mitigate that exact possibility!
Only very light traffic on it nowadays so unlikely to happen again.
Looks good until you see the ceiling tiles...

I mean..... there's staging for sale, and there's trying to make a silk purse (premium home) out of a sow's ear (period house converted to offices).
Fine house, though, in a seriously good location.
I've heard of a home office but this is ridiculous
Honestly, wouldn't bother me. How often do you spend time staring at the ceiling?
it’d bother me but it’s an easy fix and if I’ve the money to buy that house, it’s small change to get the ceilings done right
in a bedroom? a bit id say.
Each to their own but it would be the first thing id change.
if its a small change you'd think they would have done it?
Most likely it was offices/consulting rooms until recently. Streetview pic from Jul 2018
As has been said it’s been staged for a sale. If someone was living there, I’m sure they would have fixed it
No real point in doing so before a sale
i understand, what im saying is, if i was going to the bother of staging it and wanted to sell it as a residential property i would have had that fixed (if its relatively inexpensive, im not so sure that it would be inexpensive though)
Most auctioneers will say spend no money beyond decluttering, repainting in neutral colours and try to price to get a bidding war. The difference in price between say putting in a new bathroom and a wreck of a bathroom is not much to a buyer. If you spend money it's likely new owner may rip it straight out. That said a few thousand improvements may create a bidding war versus only one bidder.
In terms of lotto win, I think we should all agree to the same euromillions numbers and then if we win, we all win and we can vote on one large mansion to share, maybe the stardust place, or lighthouse, or a vegan only old convent, chickens optional.
