That's a logistical nightmare compared to China moving in via land. Some things are best left alone and I really don't see the Americans having the appetite to attempt it and then having to invest in massive amounts of infrastructure.
China, on the other hand, would have no issue with building the infrastructure provided their economy can handle it.

The Kremlin line is that Ukraine is part of Russia or at the very least, the parts that were recently “annexed” I don’t think nuking or setting off “dirty bombs” in your own ‘territory’ or perceived ‘territory’ would be very likely, even for Putin. If that was to happen it’d really signal to everyone how desperate Russia has really become.

We're probably some of the luckiest people in the world. We've had a lot of peace and it's a long time since we were in a war zone excusing the six counties.
The 66 nations that called for peace in Ukraine make up more than a third of the countries in the world, and they represent most of the Earth's population, including India, China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Brazil and Mexico.
The calls for a negotiated settlement are going to get ever louder as time goes on. Not just in the west, but all around the world.
It's only a relatively small group of highly vocal extremists, who seem to be in favour of never ending war as a solution to this conflict.
(sadly an inordinate amount of them seem to populate this thread for some reason)
It's entirely that. It's the two fingers to the world that they can still threaten the world with unconventional warfare and still put their suits and ties on and accuse others of attacking them in the UN.

He means we see right through this 'negotiated settlement' nonsense, which is code for 'let Russia win': give Putin an off-ramp and let Russia permanently keep Crimea, Donbas, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia - including of course, the NPP. Mariupol gone forever, after so much blood shed in it's cause.

Russia Annexed Crimea and other parts of Ukraine since 2014 .. Conflict will end overnight if Russia commits itself to what is stated in the UN charter and get the **** out of Ukraine.

As much as I agree with that sentiment ....Not negotiating isnt the way this conflict will end.
