But the Ukrainians say they fired the HIMARS rockets at night time and at a time when there was meant to be a civilian curfew in place.
There's one story and another story, I'm sure the truth is somewhere in between, as with many things, especially war time.
No doubt you're right about uncertainties of individual incidents but there is one truth of this war that is incontrovertible and that is that the Russian bastards have killed, tortured, terrorised and maimed many, many, many times more Ukrainian citizens than vice versa. Would you not agree?

Which is one reason why I believe nothing that comes from the Russians,,not even from embedded western journalists, because, no matter what they will report, it will have been decided in advance by the Russians. They will report on what they are allowed to see, and for sure, that will be putting Ukrainian military in a bad light.

This was in response to the Russian claims that Ukraine had deliberately targeted civilians at the bridge. I believe the attack was some time midweek, but these claims and counter claims were reported on Friday.
The idea that Ukraine 'deliberately' attacked civilians is clearly another lie by the regime anyway - there's no evidence they have deliberately targeted civilians anywhere in Ukraine since February 24th.

Well firstly, as evidenced by the sheer amount of lies and miss-truths that come from Russian sources and media why would western media report on this unless it has been independently verified?
And even if the reports are true, this is the ugly truth of what happens when an aggressive nation invades and starts a war in another sovereign country, it puts civilians and children at risk, unfortunately incidents like this are always possible as much as anyone tries to avoid this.
The western media for the most part reflects this and calls out the terrorist aggressors Russia for what they are and rightly so.
Saw a few reports on this bridge strike that I don't know the full source for but they seemed to agree that the strike was during the russian imposed curfew hours when civilians should not have been on the bridge. There was one as well that suggested that the reason the bridge was easier to target at this stage was because the russians crossing at that time had been stealing some Ukrainian TV equipment that had a GPS trakers installed. I think these types of tags can be used where equipment is at risk of being stolen and know a builder who has something similar on diggers and other machines they use on sites. The reports that one of the russian media personalities was killed in the strike might fit with this version of the missile strike but did not see any reference to children being there at the time and would be skeptical of anything coming from the russian side with their record on providing honest information.
The elephant in the room of course is that Russia is responsible for 99%+ of civilian deaths in Ukraine this year. The numbers killed by Ukraine must be very small in comparison and accidental most times (all of these civilians would be Ukrainian citizens under their own laws).

The script they are reading from is Putin approved, same as all the other Russian TV shows keeping the public informed. When the Bucha atrocities were discovered (and from other places as well that the Russians were driven from) RTV claimed that they had been carried out by Ukrainians.
Russia is a pariah state, which has been and will be sanctioned back to the stone age and good enough for them, but I dont like the idea that Ukraine is a country that should be lauded or supported
