I think in this case there is justification for a short occupation of Russia in order to remove all nukes and any means of producing them. You have misquoted the regime's own report. The Russians claimed four people had been killed (at Antonovsky Bridge) including two Russian supporting journalists, but no mention of any children being killed.
Western journalists have tried, Alina Lipp and Anne-Laure Bonnel to name but two (reporting from Donbass region) , but have been silenced by their western governments and employers. They have been reporting from behind enemy lines, and Anna Lipp had recorded some pretty nasty stuff apparently, but is being muzzled by her own Government as it would not look good for the side they support. We need our press to striving to be better, not restrictive, even if sometimes we do not like the message, we can't tarnish people just because they are not always in agreement with what our leaders would like them to speak about.
In fairness, there does not seem to be the opportunity for journalists to embed in the military like we saw in Iraq for example. The Ukrainian military does not allow western journalists to embed, and this is obvious since the begining. Zelensky is a professional actor, a media expert, he has controlled the narrative from the beginning and has done an amazing job, social media, live video feeds into parliaments around the world to ensure support for his cause. The strategy is powerful but it does come at the expense of transparency. We see all the time about what the Russians are up to, and it's pretty bleak. But we are being denied the opportunity to make more informed decisions as how to more effectively disect this conflict as well as us mere armchair pundits can.
I would never begin a sentence with those words. The two words I begun with might not be palatable to many, and whether it's an investigation with truthful findings or not, that's the term I prefer to use rather than expletives.
I quoted a piece from a Russian media outlet, not the Russian authorities report. The report is linked below, and it says that that children are amongst the dead and injured. I'm almost certain it will be rubbished and maybe with good cause, but as another poster has alluded to, this is a war, so it is perfectly plausible for children to be killed by fire from both sides, as horrible as it is.
Either way, would you not agree that we should be hearing about the circumstances of all civilian deaths rather than the ones at the hands of the Russians?
