It's all falling apart alarmingly fast for Boris Johnson across the water. How long you reckon he has left as British Prime Minister? Hours surely?
How many parties are they talking about now? I've lost count.

Yes, I'm wondering if his 'lifestyle' is catching up with him at last. He seems heavier than ever and appears to have aged by about five years this year alone.
I guess he is the preferred choice of the actual right wing press as well. I doubt they have much time for Sunak or Mordaunt.
Not (significantly) reflected in the betting as yet. Would certainly suit the Johnson camp for this 'rumour' to catch fire...
That’s fine if that’s what you want. The members voting for Boris against the will of the MPs will destroy the Conservative party, probably terminally
i actually feel sorry for those that fall for the Boris con. Shows a real intellectual weakness.
Boris has his faults. We all do. And Boris isn't running to become the next Pope.
He could have raked in the millions and holidayed abroad for the rest of his life.
Boris is coming back to work because he clearly believes he can turn this around and do a good job.
There's no intellectual weakness to that.
I actually laughed out loud at that
Boris does what’s best for Boris
Boris, probably the only person in the world that when on holidays, he lets his hair up.
Why does he have to come back to work? He already has a job. He's the elected MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip. He should've been doing that job.
Anyone who believes Johnson sings up to any "work" or to do a "good job" is an absolute moron
The vapid flap of skin that was Liz Truss 😀😀
And we are still less of a basket case than Britain !
Delighted I got him at 10/1 when I did, just wish id put more on. When its the tory party bet on them to do the stupidest, most self interested, anti democratic and corrupt option and you will always be right.
You forget, eskimo, that we all know what kind of a job Johnson can do. We have seen him do it for more than two years. It is not a good job.
Johnson may believe that he can turn this around and do a good job, though I am frankly sceptical that that is or ever was his motivation. Nothing in his history up to now suggests that he has ever been interested in doing a good job; he is notoriously lazy, bored with detail, and workshy. But if he does believe that, he is in fairly select company; few others believe it. Looking at the evidence, of which there is plenty, you'd have to be verging on the delusional to believe it.
Kinda funny how the Tory media couldnt care less about non dom tax evaders but as soon as the colour of their skin is brown it becomes an issue they'll write about
He definitely hasnt been doing that job since he got booted out as PM in July. First we had him taking a spin in an RAF fighter jet before he left office, then came his wedding which he wanted at Chequers but ended up in a Tory donors country mansion, then he went on holidays to Slovenia, then another holiday to Greece and then on yet another holiday to the Domican Republic while the parliament is in session. If Boris isnt PM then the people of Uxbridge and Ruislip can just expect him to be on a permanent holiday.
Weird how Boris backers are saying he’s 100 nominations but not saying whether he will run. Gives him an easy way out if Sunak gets a majority and he doesn’t want to upend the party or have it proven to all that MPs support Sunak over him
Badenock has come out for Sunak. Right of the party splitting
Indeed.
Yeah Sky still reporting Boris only has 54, if Beth Rigby or Sam Coates arent willing to back it I wouldn't believe it.
Or maybe a sharp operator spots the way the wind is blowing and is hoping for first dibs on the right-wing slot in Sunak's cabinet?
Just reported by the times political editor that people close to Boris now advising him to pull out of the race
Boris has never really been good at pulling out.....
Wonder are they the same 'people' who were claiming he had 100 MPs in the bag...
Yes, and it would have exactly the same legal standing as the Brexit referendum.
A non-binding opinion poll.
MPs would vote Boris down but the membership would vote him up. Because that's how democracy works innit? And if there's any allegation of hacking the online vote it will become an omnishambles.
Sky News ticker currently at
Sunak 117
Johnson 56
Mordaunt 23
Total 196 meaning there is still 171 in play
Could get interesting were Sunak to hit 160ish and for Boris to just barely stagger over the line. While the party apparatchiks might want Johnson to step aside its doubtful he would do that when he knows he could win the membership vote
In theory but we don't know what commitments are being made privately
Led By Donkeys turn their radar on Rees-Mogg.
12-year-old Mogg is such a strong case for birth control.
Ah will you stop I just splurted my hot chocolate out of my nose!
It’s been a stressful couple of days for Nadine Dorries.
