It's all falling apart alarmingly fast for Boris Johnson across the water. How long you reckon he has left as British Prime Minister? Hours surely?
How many parties are they talking about now? I've lost count.

So the Tories can change the rules for leadership voting at will so why the charade and nonsense over the summer? A zombie government when the cost of living / energy crisis needed action. The MPs swanning about the country on full pay doing party business!
I think he has a good chance. It'll hinge on which of him or Mordaunt the right of the party thinks has a better chance of beating Sunak with the members. A poll of members before Monday would be very interesting if there is time to conduct one...
Just goes to show what a bullsh1te parade or charade the last Tory leadership campaign was.
Interestingly there have been some MPs who’ve said publicly this evening that they’ll cross the floor if he becomes PM
I don't think Johnson will reach 100 MPs.
But how I wish he will.
The way he was stabbed in the back was an absolute disgrace.
I assume facts like these will of course be ignored by the UK rags.
Can't wait to find out what Meghan Markle did next that's more important than holding the tories to account for their bullshit.
If he gets back in, he'll be stabbed in the front in a few weeks time when he gets found guilty of all of his lies in the parliamentary inquiry
If the writers on house of cards came up with this sh*tshow they would have been demoted to the Teletubbies
If the writers of the Telletubbies had wcome up with it, they have been forced by their employers to give up the hallucinogens
The 1922 committee is responsible for designing and running the election process. They can change it at will.
Hopefully he can win, he has it if it goes to the membership.
Guido Fawkes is more hard-right and "Brexit is the Best thing ever" than even the Daily Express.
They have 41 confirmed names down for Johnson but if you look at them 10 of them are placeholders. Basically they're trying to plump up his numbers in a desperate attempt to make it look like he's got momentum cos they'd like nothing more than to have him back in Number 10.
Honest question: Why exactly would you like to see Boris Johnson be Prime Minister again?
Mordaunt might have the beating of Sunak among members too. If that is the case I think the question for the right of the party becomes which of Johnson and Mordaunt is more credible leading us into a GE and best placed to maximize our seat total.
Johnson's demise was entirely self-inflicted. He has nobody to blame but himself.
Truss had the problem, she was not only unsympathetic, she was very incompetent to do the job, plus on top of that she was left to deal with a lot of problems her predecessors left her.
The Conservatives also need to realized that Brexit doesn't work, and most certainly not from an economic perspective. Brexit is like "riding a dead horse" or a marriage gone permanently sour and just held together by some force. Anybody clinging on to Brexit will face the same problems as Truss and Boris and May and Cameron....
It doesn't matter how long Truss's successor will be in office, it's more a question, whom will they sacrifice next.
The only solution is calling a new federal election and hoping Labour or the Lib Dems win by a landslide.
federal election?
It's been reported that he has roughly 40 MPs still backing him and maybe 20 more soft votes, so not enough.
In any case the Commons Privileges Committee investigation into whether he deliberately misled parliament will bring partygate right back to the top of media agenda almost immediately. Plus, as always with Johnson the next scandal will just be around the corner.
Bringing him back would be insane. Then again, this is the party that elected Truss as their leader.
hasta la vista, baby!
An appalling vista !
Boris now 2nd favourite ahead of Mordaunt. But Sunak in the summer got 130 MPs for his nomination and Mordaunt slightly over 100, Truss was 80 something and that was with Boris' backing. Provided Sunaks and Mordaunts backers stick with them they should make the run off meaning Boris would have to get 100 votes from the remaining 130 or so MPs, not an easy task.
Beggars belief that they might even consider Boris again. Jesus, he'd be twice as bad 2nd time around knowing he has the party pretty much by the liathróidí. If they let him back in No.10 the lot of them should be committed.
I hope they pick Boris. F*cking lunatics.
If Boris can make a strong argument he hasd a better chance of beating Sunak among the members he could pinch some of Mordaunt's vote. Arguably that's how Truss pipped Mordaunt to the run-off last time...
If Boris does throw his hat into the ring it will solidify how utterly shameless and repugnant he is.
Oh you're back...
Our friend is back I see. We never did find out why he keeps referring to GEs as FEs
I think he proved that long, long ago.
True.
Johnson’s name was mentioned more than 3 times in quick succession, that has a knack of summoning him. Also if you say it three times in front of a mirror on Halloween, he’ll appear in your house.
At times you can laugh at the carry on across the water but the carry on last night and today, and the fact that boris Johnson of all people is being talked about again as being in the frame to become PM again just shows how much the uk has fallen. It’s kind of sad really given how much they build themselves up yet it’s just a shambles of a system which has been shown up in the past three months or so.
