This really isn't the thread for this so this is the last I'll say on the matter. Previously I thought you were on about Republican Primaries. I didn't realise you meant the general election.
The reason why an "Independent Conservative" shouldn't run in the general election is simple - They'd likely take more votes from Joe Biden then they would from Donald Trump. Joe Biden made it through the democratic primaries in 2020 mostly because he was seen as the candidate who would attract independents and "never-Trumper" Republicans. Not many Democrats were super excited about Joe Biden but their fear of Trump winning another term exceeded their willingness to take a risk on one of the other candidates.
This paid off when Biden won the 2020 election. What was very telling though was that the Democrats didn't fare as well down ballot. They didn't do as well in Senate, House or State elections. The reason for that is that a lot of moderate Republicans and independents voted for Biden at the top of the ticket and then voted Republican in all of the other races.
Howard Schultz, the Starbucks billionaire founder, made some noises about running third party in the 2020 election. He received massive backlash from people fearing that it would only help Trump. In the end he pulled out, partly because the Democrats has nominated a more "centrist" candidate in Joe Biden.

I never said that it gave them a right to invade Ukraine. Ive condemned it since they annexed Crimea and I will continue to condemn it. But we must realise this conflicts origins isnt as one sided as some people on here seem to think.

The two far right candidates in Ukraine got less than 2% of the vote between them. Most European countries have higher far-right political representation than Ukraine. The country is run by a Jew.

Of course it's not but the bottom line is Putin is attacking civilians because he can't attack the Ukrainian military like he'd want to. Let's not lose sight of who is at fault here.

There are two sides fighting in Ukraine. One is behaving like actual Nazis. Which one is it?

Every totalitarian leader, no matter how much of a grip they have, always have to create a pretext to invade another country. It's essential for domestic propaganda as well as "validating" the land-grab.
To use an extreme example, if Putin were to e.g. invade Ireland for whatever strategic purposes, he couldn't just plough in. The Kremlin would have to fire up a campaign to create narratives to support the attack. They would seize on the terrorism aspect, show videos of Irish people chanting terrorist-supporting songs, show footage of the murals in Northern Ireland, attacks. Seize on any anti-Russian sentiment. Show Ukrainian flags flying around Ireland. Etc. All of which is completely absurd of course, but that's precisely what Moscow did with Ukraine, over years. That's just the propaganda aspect.
People from the fringes who hate "the West", or people from the other side who admire authoritarianism unfortunately buy into that stuff because it's irresistible to their alternative cherry-picked histories of the world. It's pretty ironic seeing people living in comfortable, safe, free, democratic countries parroting the propaganda pumped out from the state apparatuses of an autocratic hell-hole.

Drivel. I protested the Iraq war, there was uproar in the UK, the anti-war protests in the UK and around the world were among the largest in history. The UN didn't support it, traditional allies like Germany and France stood firmly against it, most European countries were against it. It was an unmitigated disaster by Bush, Neocons and Blair.

Ben Wallace has just confirmed an incident in the black sea involving a british Rivet and 2 russian fighter jets, 1 of which did fire a missile. Only reputable outlet I could find with quotes was telegraph live 'feed', so will just paste the quotes
"A Russian aircraft on Sept. 29 released a missile near a British aircraft patrolling in international airspace over the Black Sea, the Defence Secretary, has revealed.
Ben Wallace told parliament Britain had suspended patrols following the incident involving an unarmed RAF RC-135W Rivet Joint spy plane, which was on a routine patrol when it was intercepted by two Russian SU 27 fighter aircraft.
One of the Russian jets fired a missile from beyond the visual range of the RAF plane, Mr Wallace said.
Mr Wallace said he wrote to his counterpart and the chief of defence staff in Moscow about what was a “potentially dangerous engagement” to express his concerns.
On October 10 Moscow replied, stating that they had conducted an investigation and put the engagement down to a “technical malfunction”. Moscow acknowledged the incident took place in international airspace.
Britain has now resumed patrols, which now have fighter aircraft escorts, he added."
Russia are saying a technical malfunction or some sh1t and Britain aren’t wanting to go overboard but it was obvious there was more there than you could purely see on flightradar. When the fighter jets were refuelling over Romania the RJ wasn’t left alone at sea. It was shadowed by typhoons at every point. That’s not a coincidence. Something had to have happened or was believed to be a serious risk.
