It's all falling apart alarmingly fast for Boris Johnson across the water. How long you reckon he has left as British Prime Minister? Hours surely?
How many parties are they talking about now? I've lost count.

Fracking hell, now the Chief Whip has resigned
Tick tock Truss
Liz Truss, Suella Braverman, Priti Patel…the Tory party is a walking refutation of the feminist cliche that it’s only deluded mediocre men who get overpromoted

Oh, my God....
Still doesn't stop people making up bullshit about him.
Corbyn failed TWICE to overthrow the tories. Got close first time around but lost ground and more against Bo-Jo.
Lying about Jeremy Corbyn seems to be the standard position for the folk who don't like him.
I think it's true that anyone who votes against the three line whip on fracking will be ejected from the party, and can no longer voice no confidence in the "letters" to Graham Brady to get rid of Truss.
Is that right? If so it's quite a dilemma alright.
Christ, are any of them not up to dodgy shenanigans in the background ?
That whiplist circulated a couple of months back was some eye opener too.
These people shouldn't be in public office, they are either not able to do it right or not intelligent enough to not get caught cutting corners.
Yeah its pretty obvious from the 2nd paragraph and how minimal the severity of whats being claimed happened is that this is all just another leadership ploy
Hunt withdraws Truss truss.
Apparently Braverman and Truss had a huge bust up over immigration and visas last night and this was the real reason for her resignation. The email leak thing is allegedly a smokescreen by Braverman and didn't actually happen at all.
This is getting beyond a joke at this stage. Funny how a breach of the rules which even a tory on sky news said is a minor breach leads to a resignation. And I find it funny that before the letter it was stressed that it wasn’t a parting on “policy differences” and then you read the second paragraph and it’s a literal list of differences. The Tory party are imploding in real time.
I really hope Charles has another sly dig 🤣
IF they last till next Wednesday I would love Starmers first question to be "and what name should we use when addressing the new home secretary?"

Who?
Michael Greene confirmed as Home Secretary.....
That's not a resignation letter, it's the opening pitch of a leadership bid.
They're not even bothering to knife each other in the back anymore, straight into the chest.
An absolute carnival of grotesques.
Majority is 66. A few are awaiting elevation to the Lord's, and they'd lose those by elections so it could be under 60 quickly.
Still requires a large amount to cross the floor to take down someone unwilling to walk, but a few ejections will certainly make things harder.
Any Tory in a 'safe' seat that was Lib Dem at any stage back to maybe 1997 even, and who votes for fracking, is gone even if the party poll figures recover. Many of the areas to be tracked are Lib/Tory marginals anyway!
This probably explains the scathing tone of that resignation letter
Cummings in agreement:
Tonight's fracking vote is the essential test for Truss, Tory MP's have been told its a triple whip and they must vote against the Labour motion.
Three have already said they will not side with the party with members being warned if they don't oppose the Labour motion they face being expelled from the Conservative party.
If anymore go against Truss then surely she will have to resign and a GE called.
I swear, this is going to trump Eastenders in the ratings. Best soap on the BBC in years.
She doesn't pledge support to Truss, and in that second paragraph basically calls out the PM for not accepting her mistakes. If that is someone who supported Truss, and given that Truss gave her such a significant job it would stand to reason, then Truss is completely shot.
Whether this was a genuine mistake that lead her to resign, or a genuine mistake that lead to others forcing her to resign, either way Truss is even more damaged.
Convenient excuse more than an ethical stance I imagine!
Jaysus imagine resigning over sharing a confidential document. Have to say at least she had the standards to resign after doing it and not digging in trying to justify it like has been done here.
I went to paint a few fence panels and come back to Braverman gone! I'm going to dinner later, will Truss still be PM when I get back?
He has decreased that to 33%
Her resignation letter is quite something. Paragraph 2, in particular...what could she mean by that.

She is on borrowed time clearly
Wow...going down fighting (From Nick Robinson)
