Iran is already under sanctions from the 'west', but I would think these will rapidly escalate in coming days, given all the evidence appearing on the battlefields and through intelligence. I don't think these will be creeping sanctions either but full throttle. Looks like Iran has made it's choice to lie down in bed with the divil. And with that comes consequences.

Yes, the North Crimean Canal is fed from the Kakhovka Reservoir just beside the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.
The reservoir used to supply most of Crimea's water until the annexation of Crimea, after which Ukraine dammed the North Crimean Canal near Kalanchak stopping the flow to Crimea.
As a result Russia used groundwater from aquifers in eastern Crimea to supply their water. The dam near Kalanchak was blown up at the start of the invasion by Russia bringing more water to Crimea, so any loss to the dam will just put Crimea back to the water levels pre February this year as they still have the supply coming from the groundwater aquifers.

BS, the previous two big surges were preceded by news blackouts and a couple days ago the Ukraine armed forces offical Telegram channel was urging everyone not to post media or comments based on the Kherson offensive.
Given what was revealed after the two previous news blackouts were lifted, I am taking it as forshadowing significant events unfolding.

There was no pre-reported black out for Kharkiv, Lyman, or the recent successful offensive in Kherson two weeks ago.
