It's a really poor attempt to try and divert Ukrainian forces from other areas of the front to defend the border.
That report on the Belarus military was published last year and it's damning. Belarus has no combat experience and weapons platforms that haven't been modernised since they were inherited after the collapse of the Soviet Union. What convinces me that this is all just a big nothing-burger is that the few modernized weapons that they have were donated to the Russians and videoed en route to Donbass. That's the clear giveaway. If you're preparing to invade another country, you're hardly going to give away the few precious modern pieces of equipment that you have.
RuSSia where you steal from your fellow man or your own will be stolen.
Kind of explains a lot re : the washing machines, children, grain, farm machinery.
not exactly one click, but you can get close to it if you know what you're doing.
David Bombal did a video or 2 on this, threw up a few random photos of his to see if the OSINT guys could find out where they were from... they got them all I think...
Also helps a lot of Ukranian's on twitter will give a heads up where it might be and you can use good ol google maps to have a look and verify
I'm no millitary expert, but I think tanks are supposed to work better if you leave the tracks on.
I suppose the more troops Putin can put even near might stretch the Ukrainians we may see that when all the recent mobilised men are sent into action .I still would be worried about the numbers Putin can call on and to keep the conflict going so long that it could turn in his favour find it hard to believe he is just going to be beaten back across the border and accept it .
@ hobgoblin
Does this really need to be asked? A shower of mobilised drunks with no ppe, or a well trained. equipped and motivated army - ffs its not like they are on different continents where winter in one is summer in the other.
The Ukrainian millitary is as adept at using media to project a positive image as they are at killing the enemy.
Well going on Israel's dire record so far, I think you can be sure Israel will hold back, just as they have been since day one. What did they send after the US put the hard word on them - a field hospital and some field rations. I think it must be because they just didn't want to show Ireland up, not because they are jerks.
Whoops, looks like I was wrong and they are just jerks:
The majority of Israelis are opposed to providing Ukraine with military aid, such as the Iron Dome missile defense system, a new survey by the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) has found.
The survey, released on Friday, only a few days after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for military assistance from the Jewish state, found that 67% of Israelis were opposed to the move, 22% would support the transfer of weapons and 10 percent were unsure.
As missiles strike Ukraine, Israel won’t sell its vaunted air defense - October 12, 2022

My understanding is that unless the geographic coordinates are included in the meta-data then there will be some detective work of varying levels of difficulty.
This would have been a fairly trivial example since the Russian writing included above the photo was the name of the town and Oblast that it was taken in - so someone then could just check the local railway station to find the background that matched the image.
Well for sure, a sentence of few months early on in a budding career criminal's life, would guarantee a big reduction in recidivism.
Russians don't have winter clothes they'll freeze to death in huge numbers. If they light fires drones and artillery will pick them off
It would be similar to someone else giving air defense systems to the Palestinians
Tensions in paradise..
Kazakhs put manners on a called up soldier.
What?
Much as I'd like Israel to help Ukraine I think this particular snippet of news may be being blown out of proportion. I think there's a big difference between the Israeli government actually making an announcement on this and some random minister, of an unrelated government department (Diaspora) calling for them to do so.
The current government is made up of a weak, patchwork coalition of parties that basically united to defeat Bibi Netanyahu. They lost their working majority some time ago and there's an election there on November 1st. I'd be surprised if they made a major foreign policy decision like this before then. In fact, that minister might just be engaging in some electioneering here.
Russia are banking on Ukraine suing for peace this winter, it will be a long one
Those Matchbox ones were always too loose and coming off. Used to drive me mad.
Hence the likelihood that he will use nuclear weapons at some stage, he is the ultimate commander of the troops in the end, he definitely has input into front line tactics prior to the war the popular narrative on putin always focused on his intelligence and how sharp and smart he was.
...
They can still move with 1 track and a dead crew!
It's just missing the song You spin me round!
Russians own version of crop circles.
The truth is out there
Couldn't resist.
Interesting thoughts on air capability. Conclusion is that Ukraine are losing aircraft and air defence systems faster than Russia.
But, and this is key, Ukraine will replenish faster.
Plus, military reports that Russian stocks severely depleted.
This is going to be heart breaking for some.
ATACMS?
No
What is it?
It's not going to happen
M270 launcher firing a single munition for whatever reason people on twitter are claiming it an atacm missile,
ATCMs has a much bigger launch pattern and more violent
Since the kirsch bridge explosion there's been multiple claims what was used to attack it ,
No evidence Ukraine has received atcms from anyone
