Pyjamas all day. Haven't stirred.
Bins due to go out tonight though.
I never watched Married With Children, Duvet so I don't know if I qualify as Peggy 😁
For some reason that brought the song toy soldiers straight from my memory 😂
Step by step
Heart to heart
Left,right,left
We all fall down
Like toy soldiers
The 80's were great for the ol power ballads!
It's amazing what a hot shower and a great football match will do for a sick woman.
Haaland who?
Mo Salah, Mo Salah, running down the wing, salalala, the Egyptian king.
Now the electricity is flickering 🙄
Quick get the kettle boiled!
The winter rolling blackouts have begun 😮
Well, Cork city seems to have blown its ballast tanks and surfaced. Rain has gone here. There is still a nasty front line to the east of the city that is moving NNE, so anyone in that direction might want to keep an umbrella ready or, if the experience I had is anything to go by, a mini sub.
Either way, dinner was had here, dishwasher is churning away and alarm clock is set for 6 AM for my hospital trundle. Thankfully they know me by face there at this point because despite being told the times and dates for this week by the nurse, the appointment letter hasn't arrived...
How's the wound now Thomil?.
It's such a rotten evening, can we all get a wherers snuggle going here..
Healing nicely. It's a large wound mind you, so it'll take a couple of more weeks, if not a month or two to fully heal but the most critical part, that large cavity that had formed inside my leg, is closed. The rest is basically just a question of keeping pressure in the area until the cavity is sealed and the skin growing back. Nurses are happy and actually surprised at the pace of healing.
Hope you got into work dry. It really is a rotten day out there. We're back down to periscope depth here in Cork...
Cavity wounds like that are nasty, so glad it's healing so well..
I've a change of gear in work so no fear of me 😉
I'm bringing in the long arm of the boobly hugs 😄
@thomil just saw this in Cork
Plenty of room in my snoodie too. 😂
Not surprised in the slightest. My weather station registered over 10mm in a single hour earlier today. Facebook page “Cork Safety Alerts” is full of images and videos showing flooded roads and they recently shared an instagram video showing that road sections had been lifted up by the water.
To be honest, I can’t remember seeing this amount of rainfall for such a sustained time before. So far, my weather station has recorded 36mm of rainfall for today alone…
Met my friends for coffee at noon and decided we would all go to the nearest house around 3pm for dinner, unbelievable flooding, very difficult driving, we are all now staying overnight, of course I'm the only working tomorrow and we're all on the vino, god help me in the morning. Ffs
Here now booking flights for November, I blame the drink.😁
Wake up with covid symptoms. 😉
That water will still be there if not deeper in the morning
Stormy now.
Planning beautiful curry, chips, naan bread and Guinness in a nice pub in Dublin for next weekend, if the weather is crap.
Or, at least my stomach has.
And i'm here busy giving out yards about the price of groceries, but ya won't take the pint off me..
Glenroes coming on strong.
Quick, quick have some hot chocolate and a blanket
😩😩
Oh hoho that's evil, i love it!!
A newspaper ended up down behind the sofa.
The cat has discovered it and has started nesting in there.
It's very cute. I peek in every now and again and just see a pair of eyes and hear her scuttling to get comfy on the paper.
Aww that's so cute, the circling and the kneading of paper until it's just right
Yea, it just shows that cats are nesters by nature.
I grew up on a farm and there were always wild cats in the bales in the hay barn, deep and snug in any gap they found.
They're such simple creatures. I bought a lovely pet bed that you'd nearly fall into yourself it was that comfy; my wan cooked her nose at it and slept on the lino instead.
I think I'll just buy a newspaper every week for her now!
We had a pile of semi-feral cats at home too, bonnets of cars, on calves, in hay, anywhere that looked cosy if they got a chance
this.
It's absolutely hammering down with rain here again too.
